The cool night air softly blowed through the room. The wolf leaned back on his chair and continued reading the book with undivided attention. A smile slowly crept up his face until a loud thump was heard not too far from him. He sighed in exasperation to this interruption.

"Sorry, man!" a voice shouted in the distance.

"Terry, what did you do this time?" the wolf responded as he got up from his chair and opened the door.

"I just said that Ryle's kinda been suckin up to Daryl lately and he's been on my ass about it since a few minutes ago!" the voice bellowed.

"You didn't have to provoke him though." the wolf pointed out as he put up the hood of his dark green jacket over his head. When he approached the hallway Terrence, a jet-black cat walked out of a corner to come greet him. It was wearing a vibrant yellow t-shirt and dark shorts that reached a few meters beyond it's knees, it's face showing annoyance and a slight hint of exhaustion. The wolf simply sighed and assessed it from head to toe.

"It's quite relieving though to see you unscathed." the wolf said with slight amusement. Terry's ears twiched in response and it's lips formed into a scowl.

"Gee Leon, why don't ya say it to him then?" whined Terry as he put a paw on the back of his head, lightly scratching in frustration. The wolf simply raised a brow in response and shook his head.

"And have that panther chase me around all day? Not a chance and besides, you don't seem too worried about it." Leon denied as he chuckled, much to Terry's dismay.

"Dude, that aside I think we can get some easy money on our next performance next Thursday night!" Terry said as he attempted to deflect the topic to avoid humiliation, but Leon's expression gave away that he's not letting him off that easy.

"By money, you mean more girls to mess around with?" Leon retorted with another chuckle.

"What's that gotta do with me anyway? That bear steals the show whenever we come around to perform!" Terry complained, much to Leon's amusement.

"He doesn't even try at all. Jealous he's more of a ladykiller than you?" Leon asked with a grin spreading across his face. Terry's ears twitched and a sheen of sweat began forming on his forehead.

"That ain't it! Why you askin'? Desperate to get laid?" Terry countered, hoping to somehow turn the tables of the conversation, though Leon's expression still wore a grin.

"Not as desparate as you, you've even tried making your move on Gemma and Sheila and failed miserably." retorted Leon with mock pity in his voice, earning another ear twitch from the cat.

"What the hell dude!" Terry wailed in obvious shame. Before they could continue, the sound of a door opening reached their ears and they both looked to see a tall, muscular and intimidating bear waiting at the entrance, it's fur dark brown and wearing a dark grey shirt with a few tears on the front end along with pants that sport the same amount of light damage.

"Am I late?" The bear spoke.

"You just missed Terry playing cat and mouse with Ryle." Leon blurted out, earning a splutter from the cat.

"Y-you don't hafta rub it in! C'mon!" whined Terry, wanting to get out of this awkward conversation.

"Anyway Daryl, have you heard anything from Gemma and Sheila?" Leon inquired the bear.

"Gemma says she'll be a little late due to her family gathering today while Sheila's on her way here but traffic seems to be against her at the moment" Daryl replied.

"Guess we gotta wait for 'em then." said Terry.
