Prologue
It has been some time since the USS Voyager return home. The Klingon/Federation relationships have never been better. When they got back the entire crew was promoted. Captain Janeway was promoted to a three star admiral and became Chief of Operations in the Maelstrom. Commander Chakoty was promoted to Captain and was given command of the USS Voyager. Tom and B'Lanna Paris were promoted to Lieutenant Commander and stayed aboard Voyager with their 3-year-old daughter. Tuvok got promoted to commander. Harry finally got promoted to Lieutenant, and Seven of Nine joined Starfleet and went to the Academy. After that she was promoted to commander and is now the new first officer aboard the USS Voyager.
Meanwhile, at the Sanfrancisco Shipyards the newly commissioned galaxy class USS Dauntless NCC 71879 and her crew are about to go on their first mission.
