So this is my first time writing something like this, it's probably very OOC, not very long and quite possibly very boring. Sorry about any mistakes I'm still trying to figure out how to work this site, but enjoy...
When they weren't out on missions' life in the Avengers tower could get pretty boring. Today was one of those days. Tony was lounging in one of the chairs in the communal living room tinkering with his phone whilst Clint was watching something on the large TV in front of them. Letting out a sigh Tony placed his phone on the coffee table and looked at the TV .Clint looked equally as bored as he flicked through various channels on the TV. Placing the remote down Clint was making a hasty retreat to his nest until he heard Tony's voice "Hey Barton, think you could get something for me?" Tony had asked just before he'd had the chance to leave. Clint turned around raising an eyebrow.
Crawling along the vents which ran through the building Clint dragged the captain America shield behind him, why had he agreed to this? He dropped down into the living room through the open vent he'd used to get up there and handed the shield to Tony. Luckily Steve hadn't been in his room when he was searching for it, but he didn't think it'd take him long to notice it was gone. When he was handed the shield over Tony had a wide grin plastered across his face, "Thanks Barton" he said. Ignoring Tony's thanks Clint pointed to the can he'd only just noticed Tony was holding in his left hand "what's that?" He asked smirking slightly. He hadn't really asked why He was sent to retrieve the shield, he wasn't really sure why he'd agreed to this in the first place. Tony's grin grew wider as he lifted the can to show Clint "spray paint, care to join me?" Tony asked. Already turning away and heading back to his nest Clint yelled over his shoulder as he left, "I don't want anything more to do with it" he'd taken no more than three steps when he heard Tony's voice behind him once again. "Clinnnttt" Tony whined at him as he left but Clint didn't stop.
It didn't take long to deface the shield and place it by Steve's door giving Tony plenty of time to return to his spot in the chair and pretend to be tinkering with his phone again. It wasn't long before Steve returned finding his defaced shield lying in the hall way. Tony couldn't hold back a small laugh as Steve marched into the room yelling, "TONY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SHIELD?" Of course he denied it "I don't know what you mean spangles, what's wrong with it?" He asked looking away trying to hide another laugh. Steve was still unimpressed as he held onto the shield with one hand "LOOK AT IT?" He exclaimed still very obviously annoyed as he waved the shield around and yelled at Tony. Turning his head slightly Tony looked at the shield, although he already knew exactly what happened to it, it was painted pink with poorly drawn flowers and hearts scattered across it. Before he could come up with a witty comeback more laughter echoed through the room and Clint appeared standing in the door frame laughing at Steve "nice shield Cap." He joked between laughs. Tony pointed at Clint quickly, "It was Barton." He said trying to pass on the blame. Surprised by the sudden blame Clint raised both hands trying to look innocent "hey, this has nothing to do with me." He said trying to sound serious, although the fit of laughter which followed ruined any chances he had of someone believing him. At this point Steve pushed past Clint heading down the corridor. Pranks weren't an unusual occurrence especially not with Tony around and it was quite often Steve on the receiving end, although this one was certainly new.
