A/N: Uhh... promptaday comm on LJ. Jailbait. My Chris and Stephanie muses attacked ¬¬ they have the best timing.
Disclaimer: If I owned the WWE, my computer would have a bigger harddrive. So, judging by the 4GB... I don't.
"Hey, back off man. That's my little sister. She's young. She's jailbait."
"Yeah, yeah" He brushed it off, continuing to stare across at her, jailbait or no he felt something that was never there before.
He continued to watch her as she grew, moved from boy to boy, toying with them for a few weeks, sometimes months, before inevitably breaking their hearts and moving on. He fancied that occasionally, her eyes would pass over him. 'Are you watching?' they seemed to say.
At those times he would look away, look at the ground, or at his best friend who would give him that knowing nod and a pat on the back. "She's too young for you anyway. You'd have nothing in common."
'We would.' He thinks. 'We'd have each other.'
He was there on her eighteenth birthday, at a party full of drunken teenagers, though he wasn't far past it himself. He knew she was there with some guy... some guy that wasn't him, some guy that wouldn't treat her like he would.
When she opened the door, he didn't care. He pulled her to him and kissed her as hard as he could. And she kissed him back. When they pulled apart, the first words out of her lips were, "What took you so long?"
He smiled "You were jailbait." Stepping away from the door, he took her hand in his, tugging her away from the house. She cast one final look over her shoulder, before following him down the steps, jacketless, but not feeling the cold. As they walked away from the noisy party, he held her hand just a little tighter, just to prove to himself that she was still there. And she was.
Chris had her now, and he was never going to let her go. She was his forever.
His Stephanie.
