Airplanes

( Don't own naruto or the song I used which was airplanes)

This takes place where Naruto and Sakura have just retrived Sasuke, Naruto is asleep because of his injuries while Sasuke is tied up and talking to Sakura…

Sasuke- "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night skies are like shooting stars?"

Sakura- (confused) "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night skies are like shooting stars?"

Sasuke-"I could really use a wish right now…"

Sakura-"What kind of wish?"

Sasuke- "I'm Dreaming,

Sakura- "Oh?"

Sasuke- "Of falling."

Sakura- "Is it really Dreaming?"

Sasuke- "Lets pretend like it's before today, Like I'm eating lunch off of mothers plates…
Trying to be the next genin coming out of the broken home… Hoping for a mission to ignore my pain."

Sakura- "Okay."

Sasuke- "Now lets pretend like I'm on the ground, And when my heart stops everybody goes insane."

Sakura- "Okay."

Sasuke- "And everybody know my name and everywhere I go people want to hear me speak…"

Sakura- "Oh."

Sasuke- "Oh yeah, and I just dropped my Sanity the first time I killed a man?"

Sakura- "…"

Sasuke- "Gold in the spring and diamonds in the fall and then a long trip just to top it all off…And lets pretend like they called me the greatest ninja ever to be seen, And everybody loved me and no one ever hated me-just try to use your imagination…"

Sakura closes her eyes…

Sasuke- "Okay lets pretend like this never happened-"

Sakura- "what never happened?"

Sasuke- "Like I never had dreams of being a Ninja, Like I didn't write notes in all of my classes, Like I never used to run away into my blackness…"

Sakura- "okay."

Sasuke- "Now lets pretend like it was all good like I didn't live staring at a picture. Like I did the things that I probably knew I should."

Sakura looks at him confused.

Sasuke- "Now lets pretend like I don't have that name before they ever called me a protogy… I'm talking back to you, before the fame- before the hate and the deals and the pain… Before the ever once compared me to him, before I ever got here… Before they ever noticed my face so lets just pretend and make wishes out of airplanes…"

Sakura- "And it seems like yesterday was just a dream, But those days are gone and just memories…"

Sasuke- "Alright lets pretend Haruno Sakura never picked up a Kuni, Lets pretend things would have been no different-Pretend she procrastinated had no motivation."

Sakura closes eyes again…

Sasuke- "Pretend she just made excuses that were so paper thin they could blow away with the wind, Haruno you're never going make it, It makes no sense to play the game there isnt a way that you'll win… Pretend she just stayed outside all day and played with her friends?"

Sakura- "Pretend she even had a friend to say was her friend, she wasn't socially awkward and just strange as a kid, she had a father and her mother wasn't crazy as Orochimaru…"

Sasuke- "And she never dreamed she could rip mountains, people told her: Fuck your talent bitch you won't amount to shit- quit daydreaming kid…"

Sasuke- "And our alarm went off to wake us but we didn't make it to the initiation…"

Sakura- "Cuz Naruto never risked anything… his hopes and his wishes…

Sasuke- "yes…"

Sakura- "Airplanes in the night sky, like shooting stars…"

Sasuke smiles- " yes…"
