Cato's Killing
Chapter one
The Killing
"Clove, what are we going to do if we are the last two tributes alive?' I ask. Clove stops to think for awhile but finally replies. "I don't know. We can figure that out if it happens".
I end up falling asleep, but get woken up by Clove." Cato wake up!". "Yeah I'm up". I say. "Two announcements just came over. The first was that two tributes from the same district can win. The second is that there will be something at the cornucopia for us". "We are going home. No matter what it puts us though" I say.
"Cato I will go and get the item. Before I go, I, I….I love you", "I love you to Clove" I say as I go the kiss her. Then she is gone.
Before long I fall asleep again. I'm not sure how long I was asleep for, but I wake up to the sound of yelling. Then I realize the yelling is Clove. And she is yelling my name. "CATO!" I hear. "CLOVE!" I yell back. Now I know she is yelling from the cornucopia. As I run, I hear the canon boom. "CLOVE!" I yell again. Now I know she is dead
As I reach the cornucopia, I see Katniss. She just lies there. So I kill her. There goes the canon again. And again. And again. One of those must be lover boys. And the other has to be the girl from 5. So that leaves Thresh and I. Clove! She has a dent in her head. Thresh. He killed her. I will be the victor if it's the last thing I ever do!
Chapter Two
Plotting
As I head back to the cornucopia, I see a shadow. But it's not Threshes. It's Glimmer's. She wants' something. I don't want to get in her way, so I head back to the cornucopia.
While there, I see the Katniss and Clove are still there. So I take their backpacks. Katniss's Bow and Arrow. And Clove's knife vest. After that, I start to track Thresh.
The last time I saw him, he ran east of the cornucopia. So that is where I will go. It started to get dark. So up in the sky were the dead Tributes. Clove, Lover Boy, Katniss and the girl from 5. Apparently they called her FoxFace. Well she does have a Fox Face.
I decide to rest for the night. I climb a tree to the highset branch, so that I can see the whole arena. Just before a doze off, I see smoke. Thresh must have Started a fire. I climb down from the tree and start to follow the smoke. As I get closer, I start to feel a lot warmer. Finally I reach Thresh. "Hello Thresh" I say
Chapter Three
The Killing... again
Thresh doesn't look happy to see me. "What do you want?" He says. "Let's see. To be the Victor, to get revenge for killing Clove, and to kill you. So let's start with killing you." I say. Thresh reaches for his rock. But before he can get to it, I pick it up and throw it away. Now he has nothing but his hands, and I doubt he is any good with hand-to-hand combat.
I get one of Clove's knifes and try to throw it at Thresh. The knife cut's him in the neck. Thresh falls to the Ground. "You have nothing to live for. I just killed your everything. Yeah, I saw you two. You love her. And jut killed her. What do you have left to live for" he says. "More that you will ever want" I say.
I get another knife. Just has I go to stab him, I see Glimmer again. With her is Mavel and ...Clove? They are all dead. All of a sudden, they growl. And then everything went black.
Chapter Four
The Victor
I slowly start to wake up. I think. I have
a look around and see Ceaser. "Look everyone. Our Victor is awake" he yells. "Could you be a little quieter? Hang on, did you say victor?" I say. "Yes. I did. What happen was: When you saw your friends, they were mutts. When they attacked you, the other boy died first. So you are the Victor of the 74th Annual Hunger games." he said. "I knew I was going to be the Victor" I say
