[TRIS POV]

BANG

I feel the bullet sink into the flesh just bellow my rib cage.

I scream in horror at the sudden wave of pain that crashed over her as she heard it again.

BANG

There it was again.

The pain that made me turn inside out.

I fell to the ground in agony as black spots cloud the edge of my vision.

I know in that very moment that I am going to die.

It doesn't matter that I survived Jeanine Matthews or the war or even training to become Dauntless.

It doesn't matter how many serums I resist even if it the one that afflicts death.

All that is gone because now I, Beatrice Prior am dying.

I feel a deep sorrow after the moment of realization of the fact that I will never see Tobias again.

I hope he lives a full and happy life.

My vision is gone and my head is throbbing and fat tears freely roll down my face, sticking to my blond hair.

I suddenly feel a warm, inviting glow on my face.

I look into the light to see my mother and father. "But your de-" I say in a confused mayhem of words, but am cut of by my mother giving a light chuckle.

I look confused but then understand.

I may be dead but I smile.

I am finally free to be with my parents again after they sacrificed their own lives to save me.

I rose from her place on the floor and walked towards the blinding light.

I walk with my mother and father into the void, finally free from the burden that is life.

{3RD PERSON}

Tobias sat, anxiously awaiting the return of his love.

Tris had gone to see Caleb off over 25 minutes ago.

He smiled as his anxiety subsided.

A figure was slowly approaching over the hill near the wall he was quietly perched upon.

As the figure grew closer his grin faded.

The person who was coming towards him was Caleb.

And he was alone.

His eyes widened as he stormed over to Caleb.

"Tris…" Tobias said, his voice cracking.

Caleb shuck his head.

Tobias lunged at Caleb, rage coursing through his veins.

He threw three weak punches before crumbling to his knees.

His Tris, dead.

A sob escaped his lips as fat, salty tears made their way down his tanned cheeks.

Christina had teardrops spilling over the brim of her eyes, although he didn't notice anything in his pained stage.

Everything he had, he cared about was gone.

He felt bile slip into his throat.

He would never see her again.

Never again would he see her smile or the sparkle in her eyes.

Christina approached him slowly.

"She's with her family now." She said in a comforting manner, not just for Tobias but also to attempt to convince herself.

He stared up at her gratefully.

"You're right." He said.

His vision, once blocked by the tears, slowly reappeared.

They slowly made their way back inside.

That night Tobias tossed and turned, his body missing the comforting warmth that Tris gave off.

He knew he would never be the same.

When her soul drifted away, his floated with it.
