AN: I don't own any of the characters except for Acacia and Moira. Acacia, Albus, and Moira are in Slytherin. James is in Gryffindor. Acacia x James; Moira x Albus
It was like any winter day. The freshly fallen snow lay on the ground and teh students were all on their way to Hogsmeade.
"Acacia, wait up!" a girl known as Moira called out to her friend. Moira had bright blue eyes and wavy dirty blonde hair.
"How about you hurry up!" Acacia called back. Acacia had green and brown eyes and straight dark brown hair.
Following Moira were the Potter brothers Albus and James.
"Why are you always so fast?" Albus asked once they had caught up to Acacia.
"Lots of running." she replied and it looked like she could still run five extra miles. "I would quite enjoy watching all of you try it." Acacia added.
"I think I'll pass on that offer." James said while panting.
"And I was actually looking forward to see that." Moira pouted.
"How about we go to the Three Broomsticks?" Albus suggested while entwining his fingers with Moira's.
"Can't we go there later, Al? I wanted to get some stuff from Honey Dukes." James countered to his younger brother.
"Fine." he grudgingly agreed.
"Honey Dukes it is." Moira said. The four of them headed off to Honey Dukes and passed by Scorpius Malfoy.
"Good for nothing Slytherins." Scorpius sneered.
"Says the one whose entire family is from Slytherin." Acacia retorted.
"For the future Malfoy, when you 'insult' someone, at least try to make sense." James said and patted Scorpius on the back out of mockery.
Acacia snickered at what James had said. They made it to Honey Dukes without any further distractions. Once they entered, they went their separate ways to either look around or buy things.
"Gummy rings? What's that for?" Albus eyed his brother curiously.
"Reasons." James simply answered.
"What reasons specifically?"
"Certain reasons."
"Can we go to the Three Broomsticks now?" Albus practically begged.
"Impatient are we? In that case, no. We must go to Zonko's first."
Albus groaned at this and went to find Acacia and Moira to inform them of their next destination.
"Why do we have to be your followers and go where ever you go? Can't we just meet you at the Three Broomsticks?" Albus asked yet again.
"Oh stop being a crybaby. Why are you in such a hurry anyway? You got a date?" James teased which earned him a punch on the arm from Albus.
"You know that actually hurt." James said while laughing.
"The poor baby." Acacia cooed mockingly.
"Since this big baby keeps whining, you guys can go on ahead and I'll meet you at the Three Broomsticks." James disappeared into the shop.
"What was that about?" Moira asked.
"I don't know." Albus replied.
"Lets just keep walking. Don't you two go all lovey dovey on me." Acacia instructed. Dominique, one of Albus' many cousins, passed them.
"Hey Dom!" Albus greeted.
"Oh, hi!" Dominique returned the greeting. She semi saluted them and continued to look for her younger brother, Louis.
The three of them arrived at the Three Broomsticks and sat down at a table and left and empty seat for James. Just as they settled down, James burst through the door. He was a complete mess. Feathers was stuck in his mop of brown hair, his 'sophisticated' jacket was falling off, and one of his shoelaces were untied. He made his was over to their table and sat in the empty seat next to Acacia and kept grinning.
"I think he's drunk." Albus whispered and was slightly terrorized at the state his brother was in. Acacia rolled her eyes and slapped James causing him to yelp and hold his now red cheek.
"Why did you bloody do that?!"
"And it has been confirmed that he's perfectly fine." Acacia said.
"What happened to you?" Moira asked.
"Fred and Roxxanne set a trap."
"Are you going to get rid of those feathers?" Albus questioned. James shrugged and stood on the table.
"What are you doing?" Acacia asked.
"Stand up here." James instructed to her.
"Why?"
"Because I said so."
"I am declining your invitation to look like an idiot."
James took out his wand and aimed a spell at Acacia which resulted in her chair being removed from under her.
"Why you little-" Acacia exclaimed while hoisting herself up. She started to hit James which just cause him to laugh.
"I got you to stand up." he managed to say between his laughing fit.
"But not on the table."
Some people had started to look at the brewing commotion between the two.
"You're not making this any easier." he sighed.
"Good, I accomplished something."
James rolled his eyes and got down on one knee which caused almost everyone to look.
"So Acacia, I've known you for a normal amount of time and I was just going to ask you, will you do me the honors of tying my shoe? I'll give this gummy ring if you do." James said. The whole room was quiet for a moment but soon burst out into laughter. Acacia pinched the bridge of nose and muttered, "You idiot."
Acacia smacked him upside the head. "Why can't you tie your own shoelace?" James shrugged and sat on the table and stuck his foot out. Acacia rolled her eyes and tied his shoe.
"You happy now?" Acacia snapped with a smile on her face. James nodded and sat on Albus who was still comprehending what just happened.
"Get off. I'm not your personal stool." Albus said and shoved his brother off.
"The things people do for a shoelace." Moira sighed which caused the four of them to laugh.
Maybe the wait wasn't too bad after all.
