*sigh* this is gonna be so much work...
AAAAANYWAYS! this fic is based on the titanic. I love two Canada pairings, both PRUCAN and RUSCAN. but someone has to be the evil guy here! so im really sorry that you can't have both... THIS WILL KILL ME AS MUCH AS IT WILL KILL YOU!
And this is set AU obviously, and I am using human names, in case you're confused.
Matthew's point of view:
*sigh* I live in a world where I don't control my surroundings. Wear this, Wear that. Use proper manners. Do what's best for the family.
Marry who I tell you to marry.
All I can think of while boarding this magnificent boat is 'My life is spinning out of control' and 'This place is a death trap'.
I can't even fully recognize the beauty of the Titanic in my depressed state.
"Are you ok, my love?" Gilbert, the man I am meant to marry, asks.
I put on a fake smile. "Yes. I am just shocked at the beauty of this ship."
He gave an unimpressed look. "I've seen better." he walked ahead
"Pere, why do you insist I marry a man I do not love?"
My father noticed my sorrowfull look. "Mon cher, you know that since your father died we do not have any money left to our name! Marrying you into a wealthy family will ensure your safety!"
Lies
I slowly walked to my room wondering what I did to deserve this.
Ivan's point of view:
As much as I love poker, this is not the time for messing around. If I won, Me and my sister Katyusha could get tickets for the Titanic, which would let us start a new life in America.
After immigrating from the Soviet Union to England, we decided that our best chance would be in America.
"Artemis? Your cards?"
"Nothing."
"Sven? You?"
In a fit of rage the foreign man threw his cards down.
"Nothing!"
I smirked.
"Royal flush!"
As the other men fought about being reckless in their decisions on the bet, yelling profanities from time to time, I took the tickets off the table.
"Pleasure doing business with you! Come on Katyusha! It is almost time for the Titanic to take off!"
Me and my sister ducked and weaved through the crowds to get from the bar to the ship.
As we went to board, a staff member stopped us.
"Have you been checked?"
"Well of course we have! We are civilized people!" I tried my best to sound serious. When we were let on, we shared a quick laugh.
We quickly dumped our stuff into the little closet of a room that came with our tickets, trying to get to the deck as quick as possible, which was not an easy task.
To get to the deck we had to shove through multiple people, clarify to the staff that yes, we were supposed to be here, and apologize to several elders for reasons not mentioned.
One on top of the ship, I gasp at the sight.
Water for miles off the pier.
Crystal blue glimmering water I have had yet to see until this moment.
Blue sky as far as the eye can see.
Just, blue.
"Vanya! Vanya! come! the ship is taking off soon!" Sister pulled me to the rail.
"We made it" I let out as almost a whisper, astonished I made it this far.
"Mother would be proud if she saw us where we are now." I could see my sister was saddened by this thought, but happy as well.
Bittersweet.
Matthew's point of view:
"Mon fill, we are departing soon. would you care to join me on the deck?" I could hear the sadness and slight concern in my Pere's voice.
with a sigh, I replied, "No thank you."
"Is there something bothering you?"
I re-plastered my fake smile.
"Not at all! I'm just a bit tired, is all!"
Not quite sure whether to believe me or not, he gave a slight nod and left.
I travelled to my bed, falling into slumber.
Wow! First chapter! Sorry it's short, but before I continue I just want to hear people's input on this! And it is painfullyobvious that I don't own Hetalia of Titanic. If I did Jack would have survived. Sorry for fail translations!
