Finding You

It has been 70 years since my love disappeared. Bella. My Bella. I don't know what to do without her. My family and I searched and searched everywhere for her, and we couldn't find her. My family wasn't the same. Alice doesn't shop anymore. Emmett doesn't crack jokes. Esme barely even smiles. Carlisle spends his time at the hospital. Even Rosalie misses her! And poor Jasper can't even be in the same room with all of the emotion around us. It feels like I'm dying inside if she's not with me. I feel like killing myself, but I know my love wouldn't want that to happen. I was in my room, lying on my bed doing nothing, when I heard a knock on my door.

" Come in", I said, with no emotion at all.

Alice came through the door and turned around to close the door.

"Hey, Edward."

"Hey, Ali. What's up?"

She walked up to me a little closer. "I was wondering if you could come with us on a family hunting trip."

I frowned. "You know that I go alone now. Since what happen …", I trailed off. I didn't want to finish my sentence. I'm afraid I might break down and cry my eyes out, if that's possible because of us vampires.

"I know you miss her. I do, too. I love her like she's my own sister. I know you love her, but can you come this one time? For the family?"

I was about to tell her that Bella was part of the family, too. My family loved her the very moment I took her to my house so she could meet my family. But after almost a year of being together, I had to let her go because of the almost attack incident from Jasper when she got a paper cut on her finger.

I lost myself in thought and forgot that Ali was there. She was looking at me, with a hopeful look on her face.

Do it for the family, I thought to myself. "Okay. I'll go hunting with you guys, but only for the family."

Ali smiled wide and gave me a tight huge. "Thank you so much," she whispered, than she let go of me.

After the hunt (remember we drink from animals), I wanted to see the meadow Bella and I go to just to be alone. So, I ran, in vampire speed of course, until I saw the meadow. I walked to the center and sat down and the grass. I wonder where Bella would be. I know she's alive, I can feel it. I just wish she were here with me with my arms around her waist and my lips to hers. And I would tell her that I love her over and over.

" Edward?"

I knew that voice all too well. Could it be? I turned around and saw Bella standing a few feet away from me. I couldn't believe it. Bella was here! And she was a vampire! I would know because her eyes were from chocolate brown to honey gold.

"Bella!" I yelled with joy, excitement and love.

She smiled a breath- taking smile and ran over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck and her legs around my hips. I turned around in circles with her in my arms. I put her down and looked at her.

"Bella! How are you even…"?

"They let me go. I begged and I begged but they wouldn't listen and I found out they were vampires the minute the changed me. Then I ran away from them and I tried to find you guys and I didn't know where to go. So, I went on my own."

I hugged her tight against my chest. " I'm sorry I ever left you. I promise I'm never ever doing that again. I'll never let you go. Ever."

Bella smiled. "It's okay. I forgive you. You thought what was best."

I leaned down my head to put my lips to mine. Bella met me halfway. The kiss deepened and turned more passionate and loving. I felt whole. When our lips came apart, I whispered the three words I've been dying to say to her.

" I love you."

" I love you, too."
