Mai's been a downward spiral for months. Of course, given the fact that she aligned herself with a group that controlled her emotions didn't help either.
She felt like she betrayed herself and her friends. They tried to help her; but being completely brainwashed by those idiots made it even harder on her.
What did I do to deserve this shit! she thought in a very tearful anger towards herself. Yugi and friends were concerned for her well being. And here's the real scary part: NO ONE HAS SEEN HER IN 6 MONTHS!
Add to the fact that she's already in an unstable mindset, things started to turn for the worse. Although Tea wouldn't admit (mainly because of her "Never Give Up" attitude wouldn't let her), something terrible must have happened.
But just when it seemed that all was lost it happened-
*: Mai…
Mai: ? Who's there!
*: Look in the mirror.
(Looks and it's a reflection of someone familiar)
Mai: Who are you?
*: I'm your Mother…
Mai: Mama…?
Ms. Valentine: Of course honey. I've been watching over you and I don't approve of this "Maiittude" thing you have going on.
Mai: I'M A WRECK!
Ms. Valentine: Everyone has their bad moments in life. Mine was meeting you father.
Mai: Yeah right…!
Ms. Valentine: I'm serious. I never would have left you all alone if I had been corrupted by his greed. And I have to pay for it now; by being trapped in a mirror.
Mai: But what can I do?
Ms. Valentine: I can't answer that for you. You have to learn on your own.
Mai: On my own…?
Ms. Valentine: I must leave now; take care…
Mai knew what she had to do. The one thing she thought she would NEVER have to say to anyone. "I need help…" she quietly muttered as a tear fell from her face.
Tea was about to say the 3 words she thought she would never say herself when all of the sudden; a familiar motorcycle stopped. Although Tea and her friends couldn't tell who it was (the woman-like figure was wearing a dark cloak with a hood) they were in for the most shocking surprise of their lives.
(The figure took the helmet off then the cloak hood and it was none other than-)
Tea: MAI!
Mai: … … …
Joey: You okay?
Tristan: What happened? You look like you haven't slept in weeks.
Mai: … … … … …
Yami Yugi: Mai?
Mai: I- -need- -help…!
(drops to her knees)
What of her you ask? After intense therapy and many psych evaluations; Mai finally got the treatment and the help she needed for many of her young years.
