Chapter One
A/N: I only own Jivu (Ash), Sumu (Venomous), and Kuumwa Moja (Bitten One) and this story. Disney owns everything else. And because Fanfiction changed everything on me since my last posting, the page brake line thingies will be made of three 9s, three 8s, three 9s.

"Mom! Mom!" shouted a young gray lioness as she ran, mud splashing on her chest and face. She was no more than a year old and she had three small dots along the inside of her left hear. She had been traveling for what seemed like hours and she was scared. A young rouge lion with a bright red mane had challenged Scar, her King, and if he won, all the young cubs would be killed to make way for this rouge's offspring… including her little sisters and nephews.
Her mother, sister, Queen Zira, and other members of the pride had been sent out by the King to the West to find food, while Sarabi and her group had been sent to the East, and she didn't know how far her mother's group had traveled.
"Mom! Please! Where are you?!" The young lioness was soaked to the bone. It had starting raining heavily three miles back and she couldn't hear or smell anything except the rain. For a brief second she thought she caught the smell of fresh blood and thought she heard a roar off in the distance. But she wasn't sure, the rain was torrential and it quickly drowned out both the smell and the sound.
In desperation, she ran off in the direction of the smell.
After running for five miles, she finally had to trot the rest of the way due to her exhaustion.
"Mom! Queen Zira! Anyone!" She shouted into the rain, but she got no response.
"Jivu!" roared a lioness. Jivu stopped and turned her head left and right in a vain attempted to fine the source of her name. The roar seemed like it was far off so she stayed put and yelled, "I'm here!"
Through the rain a lioness which looked only a few years older than Jivu walked toward the young lioness. Her face and chest was covered in a mixture of blood and mud and through the rain, Jivu could see fresh cuts on the lioness's face. It was her older sister, Sumu.
"What are you doing out here?! Why aren't you with the cubs?!" snarled Sumu as she looked down in annoyance at her little sister.
Jivu started crying, she was in a strange state of being scared half to death and relieved, "Th-there's a rouge lion at Pride Rock! H-he's challenged Scar!"
Sumu wasn't worried, the Hyenas would help Scar and, if they had already returned, the other lionesses would help fight off the intruder of Scar did lose. They had as much to lose as she did.
She snarled again at her little sister and stalked forward with her ears pinned down, "You shouldn't have left! The Hyenas will help Scar and so will the lionesses if they're already back! Who is going to make sure the cubs won't go into this storm or protect them from the starving juvenile female Hyenas?!"
Jivu walked backward and attempted to explain, "I left Nuka in charge! But Sumu, you don't underst-"
"Nuka is only six months old! He couldn't fight a moth! Now go back to the den! We'll return with meat a little after you've reached the cave." Sumu seethed as she diecided to turn back toward the kill and finish eating.
Jivu trotted after her sister as she made one more plea for her attention, "But Sumu! The lionesses aren't helping Scar! They were just watching! And so are the Hyenas! And even one keeps calling the rouge Simba! And Nala's with him too!"
Sumu turned around immediately and rushed toward her sister, worry showing in her eyes and on her face, "Are you sure?! Are you absolutely sure?!"
Jivu screamed, "YES!" and continued to cry.
Sumu turned back toward the kill sight and began to run, "Come on! We have to tell mother and Queen Zira!"
Jivu ran after her sister, trying to keep up. She made two strides to one of Sumu's. Luckily, the kill sight wasn't that far, it was only over a small hill; a total of 45 yards from where Sumu had found Jivu.
The rain continued, but Jivu was now able to hear snarls and roars as the lionesses fought over a carcass.
As they came closer, Jivu could somewhat make out what the animal might have been. It was some type of antelope, but its true species didn't matter right now or how the group was able to find it.
Zira was the first to notice them approach, like every other lioness, she was covered in a mixture of blood and mud and was soaked from the rain. She was also in the middle of the antelope, working on the back were the spine was and tearing off chunks of meat off.
Zira noticed that was Jivu who was with Sumu and snarled, "Jivu, what are you doing here?!" Zira glared at another lioness that was positioned at the neck of the antelope. She was gray, but had a large scar along the left side of her face and was missing her left ear and eye.
Every lioness stopped fighting or eating and looked at the approaching pair. Sumu and Jivu's mother, Kuumwa Moja, left the neck and stood before her younger daughter, studying her with her left eye, "Jivu I left you in charge of the den, why are you here?!" Kuumwa Moja also had to yell in order to be heard over the rain.
Sumu spoke for her sister, "A rouge male named Simba has challenged King Scar! None of the lionesses are helping King Scar, nor are the Hyenas!"
"And I think Nala brought him!" added Jivu.
"Are you sure his name was Simba?!" asked Kuumwa Moja.
"Yes, mother! Even Sarabi called him that!"
Kuumwa Moja turned to the rest of the group and shouted, "Jivu says that a rouge lion named Simba has challenged King Scar and that Nala might have brought him! She also says that none of the other lionesses or the Hyenas was helping King Scar! "
All the lionesses snarled and looked at each other.
Zira stood on top of the carcass and yelled, "We'll return and get the rest of the antelope after we've killed this male! Now let's move!"
Every lioness stood and began running in a tight formation toward Pride Rock. The journey would be twelve miles filled with anxiety as to whether Scar had killed the rouge or if the rouge had won.
Kuumwa Moja stayed toward the rear with her younger daughter, Jivu; letting Sumu run ahead with the younger mothers.
Unlike the other lionesses, Kuumwa Moja was more worried about the Hyenas killing the cubs than this rough lion, and for a good reason.
She was named 'Bitten One' because when she was six weeks old, a male Hyena had found her and her litter mates at her pride's den sight. He killed everyone except her and her brother. However, after she and her brother had managed to crawl into a small rocky crevice, he tore off her left ear and gouged out her left eye in an attempt to pull her out.
Thankfully, her Uncles came back from patrol and found the Hyena and killed it before it could finish her off. But she was scared forever, both mentally and physically by that monster, and right now, she hoped that this generation of cubs wouldn't have to suffer the same fate as her littler mates.

A/N: Greeting's LK Fandom! I'm mainly making this because I re-watched LK:2 and... I was disappointed. I know it's a kid's story, but I just didn't like how it turned out, so I'm making a fanfic about what happened after Simba ascended the throne. Like, not even five minutes after he became king. And just so you know, yes there will be death of both adults and cubs and yes I'm going to try to keep it as close to how lions act in the wild as I can while maintaining the cartoonish atmosphere that Disney created, but I won't put anything in here that will be vulgar.
I'll post when I get the inspiration and time.
