The Charlotte Syndrome
by Metzger
A drabble about C'rizz's feelings for Charley.
You say we are friends. You ask me to call you Charley. Sometimes you smile as you say this; sometimes you scowl.
I know my resistance frustrates and confuses you. You make allowances for the fact that I am alien, that my ways may not be yours. Yet still you wonder why I can't be like the Doctor, who spins you around, kisses your cheek, holds your hand. Who calls you by the name you prefer.
Inside, I do all of these things. These, and much more you would not want from me. That is why I call you Charlotte.
