Jack is just beginning his relationship with Arcee when his many lives catch up to him. The one question on his mind is "Jack who?"
This is my first work and yes, it is a Transformers Prime one but can you spot the crossover. Please review and constructive criticism only.
Time Shard
Chapter 1
I'm sitting up in bed , sweat dripping along my body thanks to that nightmare again. Dwelling on it, I find my heart racing and I look at the sleeping form of my Autobot partner, Arcee. My heartbeat slows as I take in all of her curves and edges and I close my eyes, trying to remember the dream.
(Flashback)
I'm standing in the ruins of a devastated city. I feel something heavy in my hands and I find that I'm holding some kind of alien rifle. I hear screaming and explosions in the distance and I automatically raise my rifle, trying to figure out how close the screaming is. As I head towards the screaming, I'm hit by a weird scene. Something that resembles a garbage can on wheels rolls from behind a corner. It has 2 small lights on it's dome head which also has what looks like an eye stalk. As it fully rounds the corner, I see that there is a plunger and what looks like a kitchen whisk attached to it's body. The garbage can on wheels spots me and raises it's whisk. My hearts speed up as the lights flash and I hear it shriek in a high pitched voice "Exterminate!"
(Flashback ends)
After replaying the dream, I decide to have a shower and go see if Ratchet's up. Pulling on my clothes, I notice Arcee staring at me with those beautiful cobalt eyes.
"Couldn't sleep", it's a statement not a question.
"Yeah. I guess you could say that." I reply heading towards our apartment door. The creaking of bed springs tells me that Arcee is following me. We head into the command centre and see Ratchet looking at the screens, frowning slightly.
"What's up Ratchet? How's 'Con duty going?" I call to the medic.
"Not good, I'm afraid Jack. My scanners have detected Decepticon activity near an energon mine a few miles from here but the thing is that the mine was empty when we last checked."
"Soo, the question is what are the 'Cons doing there?" I reply looking at Arcee. Ratchet activates the ground bridge and Arcee transforms into her vehicle mode. I climb on and I hear Arcee's voice.
"Looks like we're going for a ride, partner" she says seductively. With that we race off into the swirling vortex before us.
If you didn't get the clues, let me spell it out for you. Ruined city, garbage can alien with whisk and 2 hearts! Yes, that's right. It's Doctor Who! Working on the obvious and the not so obvious.
