Wikipedia states that "bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate others". School bullying is "a type of bullying that occurs in an educational setting".
There once was a girl who lived with her parents
Who loved her, yes, but they were very busy
But life was okay, it was never hard
And she lived day to day semi happily
After a long six years
This girl is now in high school
And the things she learned, the things she hears
Is what is labeled as "cool"
A high school's hidden shame
Words whispered in the shadows
She's done nothing wrong, yet is "lame"
What does happy mean now
She's strong like a metal, but even metals have their melting points
And she doesn't know when this feeling will end
Of being cast out because of her sensible choices
And eating alone without a friend
A day a year, the school wears pink
To stand up against the problem
But why do we talk and not do
Because we have caused the fallen
And one day, when that fateful day came
And she was given the choice, the freedom
She says sorry and takes the easy way out
But the problem, it's still not beaten
Life continues, takes its own route
And soon, she's but a small dot
But those close to her, they couldn't understand
Why she chose to be a "not"
So make a change, take a stand
Why don't we extend a helping hand
And talk to that someone alone in the halls todayFor we never know what a difference we'll make from the words we say today
