Colour of Redemption
- Pairing -
Kanone + Eyes
There are many things in life that one will come to hate, but for Kanone, nothing in the world could compare to the one thing he hated most of all - being born a cursed child.
From the day Kanone discovered his identity as one of the Blade Children, he had never felt a moment of peace. His days would be filled with anxiousness and his nights would be restless, due to a never-ending cycle of nightmares that plagued his being, or in a more suitable term, fragments of memories of the past that he wished to forget but have yet to be forgotten.
They were the memories of the murders he was responsible for and the lives of loved ones he took; all because he wished to live even if it was a day longer. It was no wonder that his dreams were often a shade of deep crimson; the colour of life that once flowed in the bodies of his unfortunate victims. The only precious memories that Kanone held dear were the memories of the times he spent with Eyes, the kisses they shared and the sweet nothings they exchanged. He would cherish those times no matter how little they were.
But slowly, Kanone's nightmares were getting unbearable as his past was involuntarily relived each day, the memories he wished were forgotten danced repeatedly before his eyes each time he took a life. To live another day, he needed to sacrifice the lives of others. As unfortunate as it might be, that was his fate, an unchanging cycle that would carry on until the last syllable of recorded time, or until he surrenders to the embraces of eternal sleep to drown in an eternity of cold, silent death.
However, Kanone had not given up on hope for he wishes to believe. To believe that before his time ran out, there would come a chance for him to paint his endless nightmares a colour of redemption instead of the colour of death.
But even until now, it had only remained as something he hoped for and nothing more.
