Bleeding Hearts Have you ever seen a little girl,
looking alone and so afraid.
And when you looked closer,
her fragile bleeding heart was on display.

Did you think quietly to yourself,
what on earth has this little girl gone through.
To make her look so unhappy,
while she hides her bleeding heart from you.

Maybe if you took the care and time,
to stop, think, feel and pray.
This little girl might have seen less pain,
and her bleeding heart would have healed today.

I think sometimes people are scared,
rape, abuse is too hard to comprehend.
But when you ignore it, deny it,
think of the messages you send.

Nobody deserves to be raped,
nobody asks for it, so don't lay blame.
The only person who is at fault,
is the one person inflicting the pain.

Little girls deserved to be loved,
they don't deserve years of abuse at home.
Their bleeding hearts never heal completely,
and what if it was one of your own?
