I always felt that there was a small part missing from the scene where Rick and AJ rescue Janet in the Season 2 episode Red Dog Blues. This is a short little drabble to fill in the missing scene.

"AJ!" exclaimed Janet when Rick had released her from his arms and went to round up the henchmen who had kidnapped her.
She clung to AJ as he kissed the top of her head. "You're ok darlin'," he whispered and they turned to look at each other. Blue eyes met blue eyes. Their lips nearly touching. Time seemed to stand still. Her hand caressed his neck and face. His free hand held onto her waist. He could smell her familiar perfume taking him back to the time they were engaged. She could feel his breath on her face. He dropped the shotgun on the ground and he caressed her face. He kissed her forehead and she smiled as they gazed into each other 's eyes. His breathing deepened as he lightly kissed her lips. Tentatively at first. It was like being back in familiar territory as she responded.
"Janet!"
The unmistakable voice of her father bellowed out causing them to break apart.
"Sorry, " mumbled AJ.
"I'm here daddy!" Janet replied as Myron came crashing through the trees.
"Baby, are you ok? " her dad said pulling her into his arms and holding her tight.
"I'm fine daddy. Just a little shaken up, " she replied.
"Are you sure?" Myron asked again as he checked her over.
Janet let out a deep sigh. "I'm fine. Let's go home."
Myron put his arm around her as AJ watched them walking away. Janet looked back at him and smiled. "Drinks at your place?"
AJ nodded and smiled as he picked up the shotgun. He still loved her. Maybe he would tell her. Maybe he wouldn't.
