Well, I decided it's finally about time for me to write some fics about the fandoms that I said I would be writing about from the start. Here's my first Gone story. DISCLAIMER: I do not own Gone, Michael Grant does. I wouldn't have killed The Breeze.
Toto sat in the kitchen, spreading a liberal amount of Nutella onto a bagel, while his parents said goodbye to each other, as they always did before leaving for work. "I love you" said his father, kissing his mother on the nose. It was a simple sentence, normally harmless, but as soon as Toto heard those words, he felt an impulse. "No you don't," he said, a bit confused by his own outburst, "not as much as you love the other woman you're seeing". Toto's parents stood silent for a few seconds, then, as Toto's mother opened her mouth to scold him, his father leapt at him, his face a mask of rage. "Who told you?" He demanded, pinning Toto to a wall "who told you about her?" Toto was almost too terrified to answer, but he managed to squeak out "nobody". Toto's father released him, far from satisfied. "If nobody told you, how did you know?" He asked through gritted teeth. Toto, propping himself up on a wall, replied, "I... I don't know. I just... Couldn't control what I was saying". His father gave him one more angry look, and said "well, you better learn". Toto's mother tried to say something to him, but he just stormed out of the house. Toto never saw him again.
