"Don't worry, it doesn't hurt" His last words before he went unconscious. "Nathan? Nathan!" kneeling beside him, Audrey and Duke trying their best to bring him back to his feet. An hour ago, they were investigating people at Haven becomes killers. It's like Amazing Race gone wrong. Everyone's running around, blood stains all over their shirts, faces and hands killing anyone they meet at the road. The Clock is ticking with only fewer people get infected and now, Nathan is in bad condition to help them investigate.
"Look Audrey, I know me and Nathan doesn't really go well with each other, but if there's something I can do to help him.. I would. But right now…"
"Yeah, well, we need to stop this bad episode of The Walking Dead and get the son of the bitch who did this to everyone else… and to Nathan"
"Oh-kay. Off we go then. Audrey wait up!" tapping Nathan on the shoulder on his way out who is now resting in a hospital with all the tubes connected to him not sure if he's going to make it.
Five hours ago, Nathan and Jordan are having a date in their favorite bench overlooking the beautiful sunset and the water that seems to be peaceful. In the middle of their romantic date, Audrey calls. Of course, Jordan doesn't approved Nathan answering it but duty calls.
They met at the station and Audrey with Duke explains everything to him they saw at the restaurant.
"And you know this how?" confused on how they knew about it in the first place.
"Well, we were um.. two people that are friends enjoying a delicious meal, which is out of the question. Nathan! We were eating then out of the blue everyone on the street becomes evil. You know, girl one stabs brutally boy 2 which is in my point of view could be a cheating bastard but hell, girl one just stood up and kill another person! It's insane out there Nathan!" Duke, now feeling anxious about it but Audrey just kept quiet and stared at Nathan.
"So let me get this straight, you saw someone stabbing 2 persons on the street? Like they were possessed?" looking at Audrey to assure that he gets it right and not just Duke overacting the story. Audrey just nods and continue being quiet.
They head out to investigate more, Duke following them around re-assuring that he wouldn't be in between this blood bath and being scared.
When Audrey and Nathan were alone, Audrey burst the bubble between them. "So… you and Jordan huh? I thought this was just all about the tattoo investigation?"
"Yeah well, we connect Parker. And she doesn't push me away like you did."
Stunned by the sudden words, "Oh come on Nathan. I was just protecting you. I don't like you to get hurt. I know it was a rash decision but…"
"Can we.. Can we just do our jobs? Separate work from personal life Parker. I mean, that's what you want right? So let's just solve this and I have a date still waiting for me." With that, he left and joins Duke inside the CCTV room.
"Back it up a little, there. Doesn't seem like he's into killing someone, and every person he encounters with kinda like dodges him. We need to talk to him"
"Ya think?" Duke being himself again, good thing Nathan didn't heard but Audrey did and smacks him on his arm. Sorry is all he said and carries on.
