A/N: This is my first attempt at a Supernatural fan fiction. Wish me luck. This first chapter is just the intro for my character, and—before you say anything—Kora has 10 siblings because I have ten siblings and it's easier for me. BTW, this chapter is very short.
Disclaimer: I am a poor college student, Zena is too. We own nothing.
Pairing: none that I know of right now; neither me nor Zena will go after the brothers.
Warnings: Possible spoilers for Supernatural up to season 7.
Prologue part 1
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone"
Kelly Clarkson
She was thirteen years old when she stared into the dark eyes of her father and knew it wasn't him. She thirteen when she watched as that man, the man who had stolen her father's skin, killed her four elder sisters and two of her five elder brothers. Raff, her youngest elder brother, had picked her up and run from the house with her while Sean, the eldest of the ten siblings, yelled 'get Kora outta here!' As she was being pulled away, she saw Jason, the second youngest of the brothers, and Jared, the middle of the sons, follow them out. It took only moments after that for the house to burst into flames. Sean had burned it down around him and the man who looked like their father.
After that, Kora moved in with Jared. Raff and Jason contributed to rent and supplies in the three room apartment that Jared owned. Both Raff and Jason were in college, Raff was a freshman at the local university, and Jason was a junior at the tech school nearby. Jason had been living at home, and moved in with Jared when Kora did. Raff continued to live on the university campus but came to stay at the apartment at least one weekend of every month, and he came over for every break he had from college. Together the three men raised Kora, and they proud when they managed to send her to college after she graduated high school, but they were worried also.
After their father went nuts or, as the cops liked to, say had a 'mental break,' Kora swore that the man who had attacked them was not their father. The psychiatrist had claimed that it was part of post-traumatic stress disorder and that it would go away in time, but it didn't. Kora began to research demonic possessions, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, everything supernatural, and how to kill it. But she didn't stop there, weapons training, tae kwon do, bullet making, spells, rituals, exorcisms; everything. Her sudden interest in the supernatural worried her brothers, but they wanted safe so they went along with it. They learned how to handle with her, they salted all the doors and windows, drew devil traps on the ceilings, and became fluent in how to identify creatures and how to kill them. Even after Kora went to college, none these practices let up, but as fate would have it when Kora and her roommate were in the same boat. They were both hunters.
