I raised my hands in a surrender fashion.
Cat was looking at me evaluating something. I wondered if her mask was supposed to hide her identity or just tease me.
"Well, what do we have here?"
The gun in her hand also seemed more like a toy, but I obediently was holding my hands.
"Did Wayne enterprise go bankrupt?" she asked. Apparently my mask was nothing more than a tease for her too.
"This necklace belongs to someone else, Selina."
"Oh, really?" she pretended to be surprised slowly approaching, "what an unfortunate event."
"Will you keep me at the gun point or can I put my hands down?"
"Nope. I like you the way you are."
She came even closer. I was pretty sure I would be able to trick that gun from her hand, but I was okay to play on her rules for now.
"So, the guy in the mask, what should I do with you?"
"Could I give a few suggestions?"
"Sure."
"You could give me the necklace and let me go and I will consider not involving Gordon."
"I have a better idea. Turn around and move."
I slowly did what she asked and walked between the row of boxes. She poked me a few times with a gun. It was good that she didn't see how I rolled my eyes.
A corridor between boxes was getting narrower. Soon two people shoulder to shoulder would not have enough room. However, Selina was walking me straight ahead and straight ahead there was not much. A wall.
"Are you going to end me execution style?" I joked.
I've stopped before the wall.
"I'd rather you face me... Hands behind your back." she commanded.
"What?"
Before I got the idea she was cuffing me with bracelets. I turned around understanding that she probably put down the gun.
And she did, but there was something about her look that stopped me from kicking her with my foot.
She reached for my collar pressing me to the wall with her elbows.
"Selina, what are you doing?" I asked quietly.
She didn't answer, but her fingers got the best of my collar and she was zipping off my armor.
"Selina…" I whispered.
She still didn't react, but my armor was unzipped and she was sliding her palm over my collarbones and then my chest.
She signed and leaned to me pressing all her body to mine.
I felt confused, but happy as usual with her sudden burst of affection.
Her head was resting on my chest and it seemed she was listening to my heart.
"You smell like an almond tree. I remember I was catching this scent even after you lived with me for two weeks. Then you smelled like me... and that was good also. You didn't feel like a stranger anymore... You were home."
"Selina…"
"Shh," she stood on her tiptoes and her lips reached my neck.
At first it seemed like she was just inhaling, but the her lips touched the skin of my neck and kissed so passionately that it was almost painful.
My hands tried to break the cuffs involuntary. This was a small torture to have her so close and so untouchable.
"Uncuff me, please" I asked, trying to keep my voice even.
She left my neck alone distancing herself. She didn't raise her head, but my armor was zipped back.
She took me by my elbow, guiding through the storehouse, then to the back door.
It was dark outside, but in the dim light from storehouse windows I could see her face, her usual "business" expression.
"Thank you," she said, leaned to me strangely close and kissed my cheek.
"For what?" I sounded even more surprised than I wanted.
"For being around, for being... you," she smiled and continued, "See you."
She swiftly went back and before I could say anything shut the door.
Feeling slightly awkward I quickly moved my cuffed hands up front. I was pretty sure I had a hickey on my neck.
Only then I've noticed weight in a pocket of my armor.
I've reached to it wondering and afterwards I only smiled shaking my head. There were a key and the necklace.
