Promises

Part 1/? of "Handicapped" series

Rated: G

Summary: Harry says does not say yes…for once

"Come on Har. It'll be fun, I promise." Bright blue eyes and a blazing smile dazzled Harry and momentarily left him speechless.

"No! Hush!" he mock-glared at his friend after he had found his voice again, "I distinctly remember the double shifts, lost holodeck privileges, and bruises that miraculously occur whenever you say those words. Coincidence? I think not."

Blue eyes grew innocently wide, the wings of the blond eyebrows curved downwards to give the most adorable puppy-dog eyes in the quadrant. Hell, in the galaxy.

Harry gritted his teeth in response. His lips tightly pressed together into a stubborn line. This is war.

Ten seconds…twenty…a minute.

The corners of Tom's lips twitched. He wondered how long Harry could resist.

He wondered how long he can hold this face. His face muscles no longer have the stamina of his younger years…

Another twenty seconds…

He wondered what was taking Harry so long. He'd have normally consented to his most outrageous idea by now…

Another ten seconds…

Is he losing his charms? What if? What if? Oh god! What'll this do to his flyboy reputation? To know that he can't even convince Harry the-altruistic-selfless-would-kill-himself-from-exaustion-to-make-you-happy Kim to join him in his wonderfully devious plan?

Five seconds passed…

Harry twitched.

Tom scented blood. Smiling to himself secretly, he widened his eyes by another two millimeters and allowed his glistening, full lower lip to tremble pathetically.

Another ten seconds…

Why is he not responding? Tom was frantic by now. He thought of how, of why, of the possibility that Harry had finally developed an immunity…

Speaking of which…is Harry looking a little blue…?

Ten seconds later…

thump

"Oh god! Harry?!?! HARRY?!?!" panic, hyperventilation "Paris to sickbay! Paris to sickbay!"

Yes, Harry was holding his breath until he fainted. Poor thing, he just can't say no to Tom.

This was something silly I concocted. I love Paris/Kim, even as friends. I usually prefer more angsty, real type of stories. But fluff is fine once in a while, because P/K angst is usually really heavy on the spirits.
