A/N: Hellooo there! Well, it's been a while since I uploaded a story, so I decided I should. Oh… my… god… Endgame was FAB!! I cried… poor Bobby… (hugs Bobby). Anyway, full of the flu (sneezles!), so am spending a few days at home trying to get better. Hope you like the fic!

Disclaimer: Sadly do not own them… if I did Bobby and Alex would be married with 4 kids living in the 'burbs.

Chase Your Fears Away

She heard the key turn in the door, the lock click open, and she sighed, rolling over again in the large bed. Sitting up, she scrubbed at her eyes, and watched her husband walk through the bedroom door. The two sat in complete silence, her hands rubbing his arms gently, their eyes locked together. He pulled her into his arms, and she could feel hot tears falling against her neck.

'Did you drive?' She mumbled, and he shook his head.

'N... no... I... I got a cab...' He whispered, his voice hoarse and tired. She lay him down, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead.

'Go to sleep, Bobby... we'll deal with all of this tomorrow, okay?' She said quietly, and he nodded. She pulled the blanket up over their bodies, and she let one lone tear fall.

The funeral was small, quiet, just what Frances Goren had wanted. Alex slipped her hand into Bobby's much larger one, and felt her heart break slightly more. She had never seen him so still. She looked up at him, and he forced a weak smile. Soon they were the only two left in the cemetery, and Alex shivered as the rain slowly began to fall. He wrapped his arms around her, not sure if he should say anything. He still didn't trust his voice. She sighed softly, then slowly pulled him towards the car, the rain coming down heavier now.

'Bobby...' She said softly, placing her hand over his. He looked at her, and saw the pain in her eyes. 'Come back to me... please...' She whispered, letting the tears fall.

'I... I'm right here...' He choked out, and she shook her head.

'You're not... I'm slowly losing you, and I have no idea what to do about it!' She looked up at him, as he opened his mouth to say something. 'And don't you dare say you have no idea what I'm talking about. Ever since your mum got really sick, you've been ignoring our marriage. Ignoring our partnership. Ignoring me! Bobby, I know you're hurting... I know that... but your mum wouldn't want you to spend the rest of your life mourning...' She started the car, tears slipping down her face. 'All I'm saying is... you need to stop and think about what you're doing...' He watched her in silence, then turned to stare out the window, watching the rain fall around them.

'I'm sorry...' He whispered, and she shot him a glance. 'I... I know that sorry is probably the last thing you want to hear from me, Al. But I'm sorry. I.. I didn't mean to ignore you...' He looked at her. 'You mean everything to me. And you're all I've got. You're right...' She felt a tear slide down her cheek. 'I can't spend forever mourning. I... I'm glad she's gone... She's not hurting anymore... She's at peace.' She stopped the car. 'Does that make me a bad person?' She took off her seatbelt, and turned to face him.

'It doesn't make you a bad person, Bobby...' She whispered, touching his cheek. 'I'm glad she's not in any pain anymore... She spent her days the way she wanted to... With her boys. And that meant the world to her.' He nodded, and she pressed a soft kiss to his forehead.

'Th... thank you...' He whispered, holding her hand gently. 'She... she really liked you...' She smiled gently, and slid back into the drivers seat.

'We should probably get back...' She whispered, and he nodded, continuing to stare out the window.
