Massie Sees Reality
She wipes a tear as she watches the moving guy lift furniture out of her room.
She reaches to get her cell phone but remembers it's gone.
"Well that's the last of it." She hears the moving man say. Her dad thanks him as he walks away. She sniffles and turns around. No one is aloud to see her cry, not even her parents.
"It's going to be okay." She hears her Dad say to her Mom. Truth is, it's not. Just a couple of days ago her Dad got fired, and he filed for bankruptcy.
There was nothing left no money, no house, and no more extravagant shopping.
Her life was crashing down.
What would the girls at OCD say about there alpha? But that wasn't a problem to her anymore, because she wouldn't be attending OCD anymore.
The $30,000 tuition was too much. Not even one thousand dollars was saved up. When her Dad got fired, Claire's Dad gained his position as CEO, and they were rich.
Either Alicia or Claire would take OCD's alpha position, and she would be forgotten.
All of the hard work she put in to get her girls "the room" didn't matter anymore, because while she would be in ADD, The Pretty Committee, minus Massie, would be watching ESP with their feet plopped in foot spas, laughing while Dylan's Starbucks low-fat latte splattered out of her nose.
A fresh batch of inside jokes would be baking everyday, and the school would be walking around in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren, or Keds everyday.
"Massie, honey it's time to leave." Her mom said as nicely as she could. Massie sighed; she took one last look at her room, and closed the door. She would never see this beautiful house ever again.
