Kaoru could truthfully say he felt out of place. Why you might ask. It's because now that Hikaru and Haruhi are together, he now feels like a third wheel. Now he could hang out with Tamaki and Kyoya or Honey and Mori, but they're dating as well.
'This sucks' he thought as he walked down the street alone. He felt awkward without Hikaru with him, they did everything together, but now his brother's life revolves around Haruhi. Don't get him wrong, he likes Haruhi, but it's hard to be happy when your friend and brother are now dating one another.
Sighing in frustration while looking down at his feet, Kaoru didn't see he the man walking in front of him. Accidentally bumping into the man, he started flailing as they tumbled to the ground.
"I'm so sorry!" Kaoru said down to the man he just so happened to be sitting on.
"It's okay," the man said. He had his hands on Kaoru's trying to steady the still freaking out boy.
"A-Are you sure." The red head looked at the man he was sitting on, still not realizing the position they were in.
Smiling up at the boy, he said, "I'm sure. Now why don't you stand up so that we can get off the ground?"
Finally realizing the position they were in, Kaoru quickly stood up. His face was red from embarrassment. Bowing to the older man he apologized again. "I'm really sorry about that."
Placing his hand on the red heads shoulder, he said, "It's fine really and you don't have to bow to me."
Standing straight, Kaoru finally managed to get a good look at the older man, and realized he was not that much older than he himself. He also noticed that the man/boy in front of him was really handsome. He had dark blue hair and eyes to match. His skin was pale ivory almost snow white. Though what caught Kaoru's attention was a black upside down crescent moon which sat right in the center of his forehead.
Noticing the boy staring at the moon on his forehead, the man coughed and held out his hand. "By the way, I'm Sapphire."
Snapping out of his trance, Kaoru grabbed his hand, "I'm Kaoru."
Giving the younger boy a small smile, he said, "It's nice to meet you, Kaoru."
Kaoru smiled back, a bit of red covering his cheeks."You too….Sapphire."
