Drip. Drip. Thud. Shadows on the wall formed an woman cackling before the phone rang. Silence. She stood up from her chair and went to answer it. "I've got the juice."
Nougami Neuro laid back on his chair with a forlorn expression on his face. It was too quiet. That was mainly because Yako, referred as Slave No.1 and Godai, Slave No.2 were afraid of infuriating Neuro. He had gone by 6 days with no mystery at all! That's right. 6 days. It would not be long before his patience died out. To make things worse, his temper was getting short and he took it out on his two loyal slaves. If you exclude Godai.
The puzzle eater seemly could not stand it any longer. His hunger was a ravenous, dangerous, life eating monster that threatened Neuro's energy. He was at his wits end.
He stormed toward Yako and she knew what was about to come. This was what she had been dreading for the past 2 Hours. Neuro clutched at her head Neuro was able to say anything, Yako burst out "I'm sorry, Neuro. I know your annoyed but recently no case has come out! It's not our fault so don't blame us! The clawed hand tightened around the girl's scalp. "You dare speak back to me, you insolent fly?"
Great, was that her new nickname? For some reason, Neuro liked to name her after insects. As if saved by the second, before her head was torn off, the door opened.
"Welcome to School girl detective Katsuragi Yako's detective agency, how may we help you?" Neuro was smiling. She was saved! Yako thought, relieved.
To each's surprise, a little girl wearing a blue pokka-dotted dress walked in. A child? How odd. Did she lose her way? Yako stared up at Neuro. He didn't seem to falter. Infact, his grin was getting wider. "Eh, a kid? Yako, send her out." Godai sighed with a wave of his hand. A gloved hand came crashing down on his face a second earlier.
"Pardon his rude behavior, he was just kidding! Right?" Thee hand pressed deeper. "YES! YES I WAS KIDDING NOW GET OFF ME YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!"To his relief, Yako had already covered the little girl's ears, sweat dropping.
"So, what may we do for you?" Neuro smiled at the girl seated infront of him. 'Oh, how odd! Neuro is so desperate that he'll even listen to this little girl's mystery. Oh well. It'll end fast and i can go to eat at that new ramen restaurant later on!' Yako thought, surprised. Little did she know her thoughts were going to prove her wrong.
"So...well, it's like this. A few nights ago, my daddy was not sleeping at a very very late night so I was curious and went to peek. I saw daddy carrying a red plastic bag and he emptied in a bowl. The thing was slimy and red and I saw black long things. Blood splashed everywhere on the white white bowl. I got scared and went back to bed but I didn't sleep. I didn't dare tell mummy either."
"So, why did you come here to tell us about what your daddy did? Don't you love him? Neuro said the word love like it was a disgusting thing."No! I love daddy! But recently he started ignoring me and mummy and he looked scary. I just want daddy back!" she started crying. Yako rushed over and comforted her. Neuro laid back, this time a smile plastered on his face.
"I smell a mystery."
