Erk = Emo
Erk was sad. Full of sadness, anguish, melancholy, and anger for the world. He was certainly different from every other person, excluding himself more from the other warriors. He was different…and he knew that.
"Sadness engulfs me…and wraps my body with pain and misunderstood misfortune…pain that destroys my entire soul…pain that wraps me with an overwhelming mist…that causes me to scream in agony…and cause me to be inferior to my every surrounding,"
Erk stated something so poetic, that it had earned high remarks from his teammates—causing them to emit a cheerful aura and applause from the indescribable power of Erk's poetic fervor.
"You're very poetic, Erk. We did not know that you have such a wonderful vocabulary that could cause us to be so glad and filled with joy. Nourish your talent, Erk, because that kind of talent is certainly exorbitant and...Simply put, awesome," Louise, the beautiful maiden of golden hair stated. The other warriors clapped.
"Bartre don't understand a thing," Bartre said, scratching his head.
"That's because you have a lesser value for things that give you a radiance of omnipotence, o fellow Bartre." Canas stated.
Erk could not understand the cheery reactions of his peers. Why did they think of his poetic statement as something so omnipotent, something so full of gladness and filled with joyful radiance?
"You! All of you!" Erk recited. Each one of his team—Eliwood, Hector, Marcus, everyone—listened with intent and awe, "You do not understand the feelings of this wounded heart! You may be full of joy and gladness at this moment, but this soul is not! It inhabits a screams of torment that no other human being can fully interpret! I am full of sorrow, my legs are tired, and my entire being is a dark and lonely pit full of mud and mire! This soul longs for content and happiness, it longs for love and satisfaction, the presence of a savior that can lift me up from this burden!"
The entire field was filled with claps, cheers and glee. Smiles can be seen in Ninian and Nils' faces; Sain was envious of the unordinary poetry that came from Erk's young and unfoul mouth, while the others were simply struck by the powers of Erk's vocabulary. "A truly wonderful recitation" is what Eliwood had thought. Hector couldn't believe his eyes, so did Raven and the others. The girls smiled and applauded, Serra whistling and screaming with happiness and joyfulness.
Erk dropped on his knees. People really couldn't understand the feelings of his wounded heart. His heart full of sadness, anguish, melancholy, and anger for the world.
Erk took out a dagger and stabbed his heart. Finally, the torment, the torture…It finally ends here.
The reactions from his teammates cannot be explained.
End.
