The Doctor stared at the points of colour on what he had dubbed 'The Milky Way'. Really it wasn't anything like the actual Milky Way, but he thought the name fitted the region quite well. Although from a distance they might all look the same, he knew each one was a slightly different shade, slightly different size and, though it really wasn't his place to do so, he'd named them all.
He slowly reached out a hand, wanting to touch them, but knowing he couldn't. Well, technically he could, but just not right now. He knew this was the safest region to look at at the moment, the surrounding ones could lead to a lot of trouble, and as it was he wasn't quite sure just how much trouble he was already in. This was a whole new ball game, an entirely different adventure to any he'd ever had before.
"They're called freckles," Rose murmured after watching him stare at the ones sprinkled over her stomach since she'd woken up nearly five minutes earlier, and who knew how long before that! "Take a picture, it'll last you longer," she added, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
The Doctor looked up at her and couldn't help but smile, which she returned before pulling him to her once more. So maybe he wasn't in trouble after all, or at least not with this Tyler, it was still a different adventure to any he'd had before! Who wanted to explore all of space and time when you had one Rose Tyler right in front of you?
