Fight Like You
..::..
"You were the real deal. You were strong and fast and—everybody wanted to fight like you."
Joe watched this strange kid with hard eyes. He knew it. His eyes were always hard these days. But when the kid said that…Joe heard what he meant, loud and clear, and he wished he could flinch or apologize or do something to take that look from the kid's eyes. Like he'd killed something in that heart, that spirit, when he fell from grace.
I admired you. You were my idol. You were strong and fast and—
I wanted to fight like you.

A/N: Quote from "The Woman in the Sand". Just another spontaneous little thing. I'm still working on the Alice fic, but I think I'll start posting soon, if only to keep myself motivated. Keep an eye out!
