A/N: Hello! I've decided to redo my story "The Fallen Angel Cronicals" this time starting from the begining when Arekkushizu (my OC) first met the Akatsuki. I figured it would be easier to learn about her and get to know her before we get into her relationship with...well I'm not going to tell you. You just have to read on, so enjoy!
He could hear screaming in the distance as he approached the usually quiet village hidden in the mist. The moonlight was hidden by dark storm clouds that threatened to pour rain upon the pitch black forest that surrounded the damp village, making it almost impossible to see, much less dart through trees at an alarming rate.
But not for him. His eyes were trained to see through the thickest of mist and darkest of nights, this was nothing to him.
The tall, shark-like ninja arrived at a cliff that overlooked the now burnt and bloody village that was once his home. Roughly half of the village was either already charcoal or blazing at the moment, not to mention the streets were littered with corpses. He decided that it would be best to go down and see what really went on, not that he had any emotional ties to his hometown.
Kisame made his way down the cliffside and began walking the blood soaked streets. Most of the bodies were innocent villagers and mist ninja, but among their corpses were cloud ninja. The hidden mist had always been enemies of the hidden cloud village, but they never had any reasons to attack the mist village.
Maybe they were after the Mizukage, he though at first . But if they really wanted to assassinate him, they would have used stealth, not brute force. Their actions made no sense whatsoever.
The shark-nin continued through the ruined town untill he decided that there was nothing else to see, and he didn't want to run into any mist ANBU wo were probably on their way. He walked down a familier path that ran along a gentle stream and led out towards the River country. He would be at the base in less than a day of running.
Out of nowhere, Kisame sensed a large chakra supply, and it was nearby. He grasped the large bandeged sword on his back, ready to slay what felt like a ANBU using the stream to sneak up on him. But when he turned to face his enemy, it was not an ANBU, no, it was something far from it.
What came crawling out of the lake was a girl. She looked fifteen, maybe sixteen. Her clothes were tattered in places and soaked with blood from the serious wounds that she had sustained. It was a miracle she was still alive. She had medium length, dark chocolate hair that was wet and clung to her pale face.
Kisame walked over to the girl who had collapsed onto the dirt of the river bank and kneeled down to get a better look at her.
"So you're the one with all that chakra," he said to himself. The girl lifted her head, her honey brown eyes met Kisame's golden ones. There was a fire burning brightly in her honey orbs, a refusal to give up. But as soon as the fire was seen, it receeded as her eyes fluttered close and she fell unconsious.
The shark-nin smiled to himself. He carefully lifted the young kunoichi off the ground and held her in his arms.
"I'll make a deal with you, kid," he said with a smile to the faintly breathing girl," if you survive the trip back to the base, I'll make you my apprentice and train you." And with that, the former mist ninja took off into the treetops.
