(Got bored… it was 2:00 in the morning… yep…the font's supposed to be the way it is by the way. - I'm tempted to claim the first Tala x Max.

Disclaimer: Don't own Beyblade…if I did, we'd see Ozuma shirtless and people having their eyebrows poked at… and lots of ranting on if Tala wears contacts…)

Pale fingers brushed through the blond's hair, the blue eyed boy smiling as he rested his head against the red haired teen's chest.

"Sleepy?"

Allowing his eyes to open, he gazed into violet eyes, nodding in a tired manner against the older's chest before closing his eyes once again.

Tala shifted just slightly on the bed, back pressed against the wall as he continued to stroke Max's head, fingers running through it. "Mm," was the smaller's answer as he nuzzled his head into Tala's torso.

"Then sleep."

Max nodded, allowing another "Mm" to escape as he loosely wrapped his arms around Tala's own, soon drifting back to sleep. The red haired teen smiled down at the tired boy, bending his neck just enough to plant a small, affectionate kiss upon the fifteen year old's forehead. Boris really thought he could steal his emotions, didn't he? The old coon was wrong, dead wrong.

Slowly, Tala pulled away, using the one arm Max wasn't holding and he'd been running through the blond's hair with and placing it along his chin, cupping it and allowing his thumb to trace the blue eyed teen's bottom lip, soon tracing the side of his face.

He didn't feel anything though. He didn't feel anything at all. He didn't feel the warmth of Max against his chest, or his lips pressing against his forehead.

So he knew.

Violet eyes opened, staring at the ceiling as he reached a hand out, as if stretching for it. He knew Max could never return his feelings, he knew the blond was unaware of his emotions towards him. He knew only in his dreams could he escape reality, could he be with Max. And he knew his dreams were mocking him at the same time.

But Tala didn't mind, as long as he could be with Max, then everything was complete. Then everything was perfect. Then everything wasn't reality.
