Spoilers: Season 3x01: Second Coming

AN: For Stef, and everyone else who thought poor future Peter was a good bit stupid compared to our nice wonderful smart Peter. Speaking of which where is he? I want real Peter now! Hear me Kring? Noooow!

Peter walked down the hall, to big baseball cap falling into his eyes like his longer bangs used to. He lifted the gun and aimed at Nathan…

Then a little voice inside his head that sounded consequently like his mother chimed in. Peter, think this through! He looked down at the gun in his hand and suddenly the possibilities were laid bare before him.

--

Plan B:

Peter lifted the gun and fired off at the ceiling, the resulting panic caused mass chaos and nearly got him trampled…but the press conference was stopped at least.

Plan C:

Nathan was about to walk onto stage when something solid connected with his face. He fell backwards, warm hands catching him and lowering him to the ground.

"Sleep tight big brother," future Peter whispered, his appearance changing to that of the former senator. He walked onto the stage, nodded to Parkman and himself. Then he turned to the crowd.

"I suppose you are all wondering why I called you here…" Peter as Nathan began, "Well…never mind…you can all go home now."

Plan D:

Future Peter ran behind the stage and watched as his past self walked out with Matt, and then there was Nathan. He leapt forward before his brother could leave the relative safety of the curtain.

"Nathan!"

The older Petrelli started, his eyes growing round.

"I'm from the future," the scar faced Peter continued, "you can't go out there. Trust me."

"I do."

"What?"

"I do trust you Pete," Nathan replied.

--

Peter glanced back at the gun in his hand as the possibilities played across his mind.

"Huh," he muttered, "I never thought of just talking to him."

Somewhere in lower Manhattan Angela shook her head.
