Feline Ears

Gracefully the tabby cat sneaks through the dungeons when a velvety voice reaches her ear.

„My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun…," she hears and she sits down to listen to that voice. Attentively she perks up her ears and listens spellbound to Severus' voice which softly and well-modulated recites Shakespeare's sonnet.

"I love to hear her speak yet well I know that music hath a far more pleasing sound…"

Gently she tiptoes towards the ajar door, anxious to cause no noise to not silence Severus.

He ends the sonnet and gives a soft sigh.

She is glad about her sharp feline ears, because in her human form she would have missed what he mumbles now.

"Minerva," he says and softly sighs again.

Covertly she scurries away, a small grey shadow in the dark dungeon and she resolves to not ask him about it, but nevertheless in future she will be more kindly to him.
