I don't own Doctor Who, just my characters.
It's not like I didn't know what my phone was doing. It was actually quite loud, and obvious. For some reason I had set an alarm for me to wake up last night. "Who does she think she is, setting alarms, expecting so much from me," I muttered, talking about myself in the third person. I reached over and turned it off as fast as I could and sighed. I was having such a good dream, too. I closed my eyes and let myself go back to sleep.
I didn't even have time to dream before another alarm woke me up. "Okay, this is just ridiculous," I grabbed my phone and turned off the other alarm, which was labeled 'Backup Because I Know You Won't Get Up the First Time'. Turns out there were four other alarms after that. I must be doing something important today.
I rolled to the side of my bed, swung my legs over, and let gravity pull me onto the floor. It was surprisingly more comfortable than the bed. "Wait no, I have to do something important, get up." Somehow I willed my body to move and I found myself moving to my closet. After about a minute or two of changing in and out of possible outfits I finally settled on black skinny jeans, a flannel, and some Converse. I peeked at the mirror and grimaced. I hadn't washed of my makeup from yesterday and my eyeliner smudged under my eyes. "I look like a damn walker." As I was working on my makeup, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out. Ah, it's Anna, maybe she knows what I'm doing today. "Hello?"
"Wow, you sound like crap."
"Well I just woke up, so my bad."
"It's two in the afternoon, Kitty."
"Exactly! And don't call me that," I grumbled.
"You can't stop me," she laughed. "Anyways, you told me yesterday to remind you that we're going out for 'late-lunch'. Zach I coming...?"
"Oh, yeah, food, Zach, and stuff," I waved my hand around vaguely.
"Yeah, listen, we'll pick you up at four, okay?"
"Isn't that basically dinner?"
"Well, yesterday you said it was a late lunch. We're just going to a dinner."
"What was that girl thinking?"
"Are you referring to yourself in the third person again?"
"Uh, no."
"Just be ready when we pull up, okay?"
"Yup."
"Alright, I'll see you in a bit."
"Bye." I let Anna hang up since I was busy trying to correct my eyeliner. At least I didn't have to babysit for the Woods. Hate those assholes.
Hey, if you're reading this for the first time, welcome! If you're re-reading this because I edited it, than you can tell that a bit has changed. I have a bit of a different writing style now, and I want to continue this series, but I can't do that until I feel completely comfortable with everything. Thank you all for reading!
