Here's a very short one-shot I wrote about how much everything's changed from when I was little from now:

I sighed as I sat down next to Harper on the cement steps in front of the substation. "I can't believe everything that happened at that party."

"I know." She stared off into the distance for a moment. "Remember when getting high meant swinging on the playground? And when using protection meant wearing a helmet while you were riding a bike? When vodka was soda? And g-strings were normal panties? When wearing a skirt didn't make you a slut? And the worst thing we could get from boys was cooties? When cigarettes were lollipops? And the sluts were the innocent ones?"

I chuckled without humor, "And we couldn't wait to grow up. And now that we have, all we want to do is go back to being six years old again."
