She's amazing, you know that? One second she's all caught up in her anger coz it's February not April, and next it's like the gods are smiling and if I just reach out my hand she's let me touch her.

Or then again CJ might have taught her some self-defence and my fingers would be broken before I even made contact.

Or she could say no, which would be infinitely worse.

It's all too much for me.

So we sit here, tossing around bad jokes and worse quips in hope of inspiration. Or something. Sam and I have to make Toby laugh in ten minutes and we're peaking here coz that's always an easy ride. The only person he seems to crack a smile for these days is CJ, and that's just something I'm not going near with a ten-foot pole, especially given his demeanour since the Stackhouse thing. I don't want to know.

I really don't.

I just want to bring the funny to this dammed speech, make the big guy grin and touch Donna.
