Chapter One: The Mission
Kathleen Moriono scanned the file that was thrown down on the table in front of her.
" Why are you here? I've never done anything this big." Kathleen a.k.a. Kat looked up at the man sitting on couch opposite of her.
" Well then, this will be your first big assignment. And my people know perfectly well that you are capable of handling this." Mr. Kently started drumming his fingers together impatiently.
" Really? And how am supposed to handle this? I'm only a normal four-teen year old girl." Kat said with a mischievous look in her eye.
"Yes, but every other four-teen year old has never rescued hostages from a bank, or gained an extraordinary gift at a young age."
" Well, tell your people I decline."
" Are you sure you want to do that?" Kently shifted his position on the couch.
" Yes, I'm sure. Now if you wou-"
" This was what your brother was looking for before he was killed."
There was a long silence.
" I'm sure he would have wanted you to carry on where he left off." Said Kently.
"When do I start?"
