"Why do we haunt the living Uncle Stretch?" Casper asked innocently.

"That's where everyone's got it wrong Short Sheet, the Fleshies haunt us!"Stretch answered watching the small blue car in the driveway.

"Fleshies'" Stretch spat in disgust "They never leave ghosts alone. They come in with all their stuff and claim my house, the house I built. No Casper I only take back what's mine. This house, everything in it is mine. They want us to leave. I will not be driven off my own property. I worked for everything in here and I was here before them and I'll be here long after." Stretch said angrily.

"Can't we share Whipsstaff?" casper suggested nervously.

"What are you talkin- They ain't gonna share they want us outta here. I'm not gonna stand for it!" Stretch yelled as he disappeared through the floor. Casper sighed as he heard the screams from down stairs , the car start and drive away.

'"They can't all be like that though" Casper said as he watched the trio celebrate their victory.

'You could have been nicer to them you know." the trio stooped and Stretch floated to the boy menacingly

"Nice, you want us to be nice. Never gonna happen Casper, get it through your bulb head. Fleshies ain't welcome in my home. All they wanna do is take over everything. You Bulb Head, need to stop your dreamin and take a look around. Wise up!" Stretch yelled causing the room to go silent before he once again disappeared.

Fatso and Stinky knew better than to follow when stretch needed time to settle down.

Casper remained still. The shock had yet to wear off, ghostly tears filled his eyes. Sure Stretch yelled a lot never that way. "Come on Fatso lets go watch some TV."The older ghosts exited the room leaving a stunned Casper alone to stare out the window as the tears fell.

Inside the trio's bed room Stretch laid down in his bed rage still coursing through him. They didn't understand. How could they, the intrusion on his home. He shared with his brothers and casper because they were family. He being the eldest brother had an eternal responsibility to look after them and Casper's father wasn't around and as hard as stretch was on the younger ghost he truly did love his nephew. Stupid Fleshies. Stretch yawned the anger had worn him out. As he closed his eyes he allowed himself to find a small amount of peace in the soft chirps that came from outside. Although he would never admit to anyone he found the sounds of nature soothing as they carried him off to sleep.
