Knock out and Starscream had always worked closely, and most of the time the results were well enough. Unfortunately, this time, things were not as wonderful for them. In fact, their situation was incredibly awful. Starscream Hood come to knock out to rant as usual, about the issues he had regarding Shockwave, and how he completely earned Megatron's favor without having to even do anything. If Starscream didn't know any better, he would assume those two were spark mates, for Primus sake.
As he came to knock out on this particular stormy night, he found him experimenting on, well, the remains of breakdown. Now it was nothing more than a human trapped in a cybertronian being used as a living petri dish. Starscream, in an attempt to compete with shockwaves Predacon experiments, came up with the idea to infuse the human cybertronian mess with a cocktail composed of dark and synthetic energon, which led them to the situation they were in at present. running through the halls of the Nemesis, trying not to die at the hands of several vehicons who had been made into bloodthirsty zombies by the former human. They had managed to find a computer terminal where they could hide for the time being.
"Knock out," Starscream began, the fear clearly evident in his voice. "This situation might be a bit more dire than either of us ever imagined.","I find it rather ironic that after battling Autobots after all these years, getting Smackdown, shot at, blown up, this is how our lights go out?" Knockout said in defeat."Drained of our precious fluids." Starscream replied, in a tone of complete agreement with knockout. "If this is indeed the end, if we are to become Terracon ciao, it has been an honor serving Lord Megatron alongside you.","You're no Breakdown, but I must confess, I have always admired your lustrous finish." Knockout said, looking to Starscream, and smiling politely.
Starscream seemed a little flustered at this. He didn't know what to make of it. He honestly thought that knockout meant it sarcastically, but he had hope in his spark, and could tell by the look in Knock outs Optics that perhaps, he was serious. He smiled somewhat childishly before saying, "Really?","Yes." Knock out said. "In fact, I find myself admiring more and more about you, with each passing day. At first, yes, it was just your finish. However, now it's everything. I admire your resilience. It's so amazing to me how you can be beat up by Megatron one second."," Just about to die, and the next second, you're up and walking, as if nothing has gone wrong. You are amazing, Starscream. I don't think anyone should ever take you for granted. I know I have,for all these years. I was honored when you made me your second-in-command, but then Megatron came back, and all seemed lost.
Then, I lost you when you were forced out by that treacherous spider. I was okay, because I had break down, but then I lost him too. I felt like no one was here for me. I was so, alone. You have no idea how happy I was, to hear that you are back, and you would be staying. I had hope again. I had someone I could confide in again. I needed you, and I know you've always needed me. At least, if we go down today, I will take solace in one fact. We will be joining the allspark, together." Knock out extended his Servo to Starscream, and surprisingly, Starscream took it. They stared into each other's Optics, knowing that after this,the two of them would always be together.
"This may not be the Finish we had planned, but it will be the finish we come to, together." Starscream said.They smiled at each other, and left the computer terminal. Unknowingly clinging to each other servos. Their minds were so concentrated on each other, that they did not notice Megatron, until they're Helms bumped into his round chest."Would either of you like to tell me, exactly what is going on?" Megatron growled,in his usual angry tone."Yes absolutely nothing my liege." ,"All is quiet, too quiet. One might even say, dull." Knockout added, looking just as fearful as Starscream did in that moment."Funny, because the dark energon inside of me, has been pulsing." Megatron continued, in his usual no-nonsense manner..
Starscream gave knockout a look that said, "Allow need to handle this." He then stepped forward and addressed Megatron directly. Normally, he would have just blamed knockout for the whole thing,as he was the one that started it, but he just couldn't, now. Not after what knockout had just confessed to him. Therefore, he simply said, "It is my fault my leash. I sanctioned knockout to make a super soldier out of breakdown's remains. We used a cocktail composed of dark and synthetic Energon. He has now been turned into a Mindless Energon sucking Terracon, and has snuffed the sparks of most of our troops, turning them into Terracons as well"
"I do not know from what Madness your yarn springs, Starscream," Megatron began, clearly unimpressed by what Starscream was saying. "But if I find out that you have been tampering with my dark Energon stores again, attempting to Infuse yourself with its very might, let me just say, that you have been awarded more chances for redemption, than anyone in Decepticon history."
All of the time Megatron was talking, a zombie vehicon lay in wait behind him. Starscream and knockout attempted to warn Megatron, but their warnings went unnoticed. They were finally able to get his attention, after he had finished his speech to Starscream, and when he saw the zombie for himself, he believed Starscream instantly. He blasted the thing to pieces with his Fusion Cannon, and through a manner of Shear luck, Silas was defeated, but by an unexpected Ally. In his attempt to find energon, Silas released arachnid from the stasis pod she was in. She destroyed him, and her insecticon Hive was attempting to eviscerate all of Decepticon kind, that was until they were stopped by a ground Bridge from Soundwave. Now, Megatron, Starscream, and knock out were on the main bridge. Megatron was praising Shockwave over the comlink for the containment protocol he had made to prevent the dark and synthetic energon cocktail from spreading. Once Megatron got off with shockwave, he turned to knockout and Starscream, who were both bowing before him.
"Knock out, may I remind you, that as the ship's medic. you report directly to Shockwave, not Starscream." Megatron said in a voice that left no room for argument."Understood Master." Knockout said, in subservience."Just to be sure, you will hand over all your projects to him, including, the synthetic energon." "As you wish, my liege." Knockout replied. "And as for you," Megatron growled, turning his attention to Starscream.
"Lord Megatron, if you would just allow me to explain things.""No!" Megatron barked. "Allow me to explain things, in a manner, which I know you'll understand."
He stalked toward Starscream, ready to deliver a punishment, that would most likely be the end of him. However, to his surprise, Knock Out jumped in front of him, silently protecting Starscream. Megatron paid this no mind, however, as he simply backhanded knock out, making the medic land on his face. He Advanced towards the commander, delivering a punishment that was indescribable. Knockout could do little more than hopelessly watch, and as he did, he felt something in his spark grow towards Starscream. He wanted to protect him, but he was frozen in fear of Megatron. In the end, he got up to help his leaking and unconscious seeker out of the bridge, as soon as the punishment was over.
When he got to the medbay, Knockout worked vigorously, in order to heal Starscream. He patched up his wounds, made sure his wings were alright, and made sure he was in peaceful stasis. Even though he was in an induced stasis, Starscream was thrashing around,frantically, from what knock out could only assume was a post traumatic stress induced nightmare. In the past, Knock out had had breakdown to help him out with these types of cases. As breakdown was often more equipped to deal with these situations. Now however, he had to restrain Starscream. As he gave him a stronger sedative. After that, he simply sat in a chair by Starscream side.
He could have left him, of course. He had plenty of things to do, such as sending Shockwave all of his projects, but instead, he resolved to sit by Starscream side. Ever so gently, he reached out one of his servos to stroke one of his wings. Despite the fact that they were so big, starscream's wings always looks so delicate in knock out's optics. He knew that just one slip up, would make Starscream hurt forever. He watched carefully on a data pad, as starscream's vital signs seemed to increase. the Seeker opened his optics, blurry and dazed. However, They instantly cleared, the second they saw knock out.
"Knock out?" Starscream whispered, weekly."Don't worry, Starscream. I'm here. I'll always be here to fix you. I have been before, and I will be forever more."
knock out was very surprised to hear the next two words whispered weekly from starscream's vocalizer. They were two words he had never heard before, "Thank you." He then extended his Servo to knock out, and continued, "Please, stay with me." Knock out took the offered servo, and allowed Starscream to speak further.
"You say you admire my resilience. Well, there is nothing to admire there. Each day, I emerge from recharge, more broken than the last. I have been broken for so long. It is why I have been so cold to so many. it is why I do not show kindness to anyone, because I know,that no one will show kindness to me. However, you have shown kindness to me. You are the only one, knock out. I was broken, but you have repaired me, and together, I know We will be able to heal our damaged sparks."they looked into each other's Optics, And gently knockout leaned in. He cupped starscream's faceplates with is free servo, and kissed him passionately on the lips. They shared this moment of silence, And they knew they would share many more, together.
