Marian bravely stood, armed with the king's sword between the wounded king and Gisborne. Marian knew she wasn't a match for a trained knight like Gisborne remembering how easily guy had defeated her as a nightwatchman in the barn in Locksley and knowing that Robin even had trouble handling him. But she needed to by time hoping Robin would arrive in time. She needed to keep him talking.

"Get out of my way!"

"All this time I've been fighting for England. Do you really think I would let you kill England?"

"Get out of my way! I will do this thing, and we will be together!''

"I would rather die than be with you, Guy of Gisborne. I'm going to marry Robin Hood. I love Robin Hood."

No! Gisborne yelled raising his sword towards her with murderous intent. Marian easily blocked his blow. He had forgotten how well she fought as a Nightwatchman easily dispatching the castle guards.

But he was no mere castle guard. Guy quickly gain the upper hand forcing Marian back closer to the king. Then suddenly he caught Marian on her upper arm causing her to yelp in pain forcing the sword from her hand leaving her defenseless. With a quick kick to the stomach, Marian found herself on the ground with Gisborne sword pointed at her throat.

"It's over Marian I will finish this and we can still be together." "I love you, Marian, I thought in time you will grow would love me as I love you."

Marian!" Robin yells entering the courtyard. Guy loses concentration for only second lifting his sword only slightly. Marian sees her chance rolls grabbing the king's sword than plunges it into Guy's lower abdomen.

A shocked Guy looks down to see the King's blade to piercings his abdomen. He drops his sword falling to his knees. Marian looking up from the ground "I'm sorry Guy I had to protect the king I had to save England."

Robin runs to her pulling her up from the ground taking her into his embrace. "You kill Gisborne," he whispered in her ear. Still shaking at the thought that he nearly lost her today. "Yes, I did"
