Dreaming of You . . . .
[A/N: This is a short poem that I wrote from Tobias's POV, if Rachel was dead. Personally, I don't really like it all that much, but I would like some critiques so I can rewrite it.]
When I'm dreaming of you,
In the dark of the night,
With your smile, and laughter,
That makes everything seem right,
Forever, and ever,
Like the children's stories go,
Forever, and ever,
Dreaming together.
When I'm dreaming of you,
I feel the quiet courage,
Boiling up within me,
Giving me the strength to continue,
Going on with my day,
Feeling the joy of my life.
When I'm dreaming of you,
I hear the words of a song,
That you once sang.
Of laughter, and war; of quiet and peace,
And I hear, like an echo,
Of the quiet times,
When we were together.
When I'm dreaming of you,
Of the way you used to be,
I often wonder why,
We were torn apart,
And the sky was empty,
With the toll of a bell,
Echoing emptily around the world.
When I'm dreaming of you,
I think of your life,
Of the way that you fought,
Against all the odds,
Telling me stories,
Singing me songs,
Making everything all right.
When I'm dreaming of you,
Forever and ever,
I know that we'll stay,
Together, though we're apart,
Dreaming of each other,
In the dark of the night.
