AN: This one-shot was based on a piece of fanart made by yuiseppe that was posted in the animesuki social group Exiled to the Couch. The characters of Tahlea and Hibiscus (Hibi for short) are the creations of DezoPenguin. I'm just borrowing them for awhile.

As the smoke began to clear, the shapes of Hibi and Tahlea began to become visible to each other. As the two began to assess the damage, Hibi made sensed something was off. Looking around, Hibi turned to her friend and said, "Well, unless there is a market for explosive hair styling potions, I think it is safe to say your shrinking potion was a failure Tahlea."

Unable to contain the smile trying to form, Tahlea gave in before saying, "Oh, I wouldn't say that just yet Hibi."

Confused, the fairy gave the lab and her friend another look, and seeing everything at their normal proportions, grew more confused. Coming up with the only answer that seemed to make sense, Hibi asks, "Wait, are you saying the whole lab shrunk? Isn't that bad for the building's structure?"

Bursting into uncontrollable laughter, Tahlea signalled for Hibi to stay where she was as she went to get something from another room.

As Hibi waited, she couldn't help but wonder what this odd feeling was she kept getting when she looked around the lab.

Soon enough, Tahlea returned with a mirror, which really confused Hibi.

"Here, look into the mirror as I stand beside you, then you'll understand." Tahlea tells her with a huge smile on her face that filled Hibi with some unease.

As soon as Tahlea came into view of the mirror, Hibi understood. As she slowly turned toward Tahlea, Hibi looked her friend in the eye, and scream, "You shrunk me? Why would anyone create a potion to shrink a fairy?"

As soon as she finally stopped laughing, both at her friends appearance and outburst, Tahlea told her, "It wasn't supposed to shrink you, Hibi. It was supposed to shrink me!"

"Why would you want to shrink yourself?" Hibi asked quizzically.

"I have two reasons to make this potion. The first reason I made it was that due to my nature, I have a somewhat limited social circle , and while you and Amoretta have taught me much, if I am to ever make it on my own, I need to learn how to properly interact with others. At my current adult size, it is rather difficult for me to meet people who don't expect me to know most of the things a person my apparent age should know. So I was hoping a shrinking potion would allow me to be able to interact with children and be seen as one of them, since youth potions neither currently exist, and is hotly debated on the ethical and religious consequences of such a potion, and likely wouldn't affect my Alchemical body."

Letting that set in, Tahlea continues, "The second reason is a bit embarrassing to admit, not to mention being partially unlikely, but I wanted us to be the same size again, even if only for the potions duration. Part of me hopes it brings back some memories, especially those of our friendship, but mostly I figured it would be nice if we could see eye to eye in a more literal sense without the aid of flight."

"That has to be the sweetest, most silly reason to make a potion! But it's definitely something you'd come up with." Hibi tells her friend, hugging Tahlea's shoulder.

As soon as the moment ended, Hibi asks, "So how long until this potion wears off anyways?"

"Funny you should ask. I have no idea, that was going to be part of the test, to see how long it lasted." Tahlea admits sheepishly.

Grabbing her hat in frustration so that she didn't lash out at her friend, Hibi says, "Oh Tahlea..."
