Author's Note:This alt story with added in characters is only my idea everything else involving Rwby is a Rooster Teeth production and I have no claim over the work. I just simply felt inspired to write this after seeing just only clips and hearing about it without actually watching the show till later so forgive me if the writing or some plot stuff is a little off.
A little foreshadow prologue:
I have watched these kids since they first entered into beacon cheerful, optimistic, full of hope and wonder, the eyes of a child. I have seen the things they can do and the deeds they have done, yet I fear that the war they have joined is far greater than their skills.
A heavy burden has been placed onto their shoulders, although they may be high schoolers training to become huntsman and huntresses who would say they are ready for the fight and this is what they trained for, but a war on this scale should be left for the older generation, those who seen the truth of this war.
Beacon may have fallen and lives may have been lost, but when all seems lost, the ancients will arise.
Before Rwby joined the academy:
In a random cave on a mountain in Remnant near Vale, a figure is seen on a rock. Levitating in a meditative pose seemingly in deep thought, with a spear hidden in moss and vines propped up against a wall of the cave. Looking closer at the man, he seemed to be a middle aged man with scars riddled on his body with mysterious symbols orbiting around his body which were of another language not seen in Remnant. The man seemed to be recovering from an injury and was in deep thought.
The inner mind of the character:
"It's been a millennia since the beginning of this war now fought by the children who we swore to give them a life without this terror and heartbreak... and yet it seems we have failed that promise."
"I've watched over this school ever since Ozpin and retreated into the academy with his plans all those years ago, while we have receded into the dark after receiving this so called 'gift' going unnoticed by Ozpin and the dark one."
"I look at these kids who should be enjoying their life and having fun, but instead they are trained to kill the evil that we sought to destroy. Whatever ozpin has planned for the children, I will make sure that no harm can come from him and the grimm no matter the cost. This war is not theirs to fight, if only we had… nevermind that, no use in regretting the what ifs."
"The question is how long will I hide while people fight in place of the old and forgotten ancestors who gave their lives to taking down the grimm and their leader."
"Even as children train and go through hardships, we just sit in the dark going unnoticed by others till we recover. Thankfully the wound I received shows sign of recovery, but I only hope the others are doing better than me."

Should I write what happens in the show or should I just mention only the main character's thoughts about the situation? Sorry that this is hort this is just a little test run and whichever one you guys chose will dictate the second chapter and how it leave a review or something to help improve my writing and storytelling. Any constructive or helpful criticism is welcomed not some "you suck" stuff okay thx.
