Night Time Friends

She peeked back before she got enough guts to exit the rabbit hole, praying she was quiet enough not to get caught. Her slick blue-black coat was rare amongst the rabbits, and extremely noticable to predators. So she kept close to the shadows. The orange fox watched as she slipped between the trees, keeping an eye out for predators.. and her family. He shook his mane and sprinted in her direction.
"Hinata!!!!" He pounced on her making her freeze in shock, before turning to smile at him.
"You... almost.. g-gave me a... h-heart a-attack, N-n-naruto." She stuttered. Naruto licked her coat before bringing her closer to his den. The place they usually met up. "Sorry Hina..." Naruto made his way down the steep enterance and watched Hinata climb down.
"You know... this is completely stupid in my father's book.. I-if he ever f-f-found out." Hinata fluffed her fur and made herself comfortable amongst the grass, on the floor of the den. "Well, let's pray he doesn't." Naruto laid next to her and the spent most of the night talking. "This would be something to talk about... a rabbit friends with a fox." Hinata joked cuddling into Naruto's orange fur. Naruto watched as her breath slowed down and she was deeply asleep.
"Yeah... what about a fox in love with a rabbit?" Naruto shook his head and cufddled up to Hinata. Hinata not completely asleep, smiled. 'I love you too, Naruto.' Was her thoughts as she drifted to sleep.
