This poem was inspired after watching the episode of Sailor Moon where Prince Diamond is killed protecting Sailor Moon (Y'know, lotsa guys seem to die doing that for her...) Since Prince Diamond is my favorite of all the very well drawn (that means HOT) guys in Sailor Moon, I was particularly moved by this episode and this little free-write etched it's way onto a peice of scrap paper. Not much and not very good, maybe I'll revise it sometime...
**DISCLAIMER** Sailor Moon and all the characters therein are copyright to their orginal, God-like creator. However, this poem is copyright ME! All mine, so, uhm, don't repost without asking my permission first! Otherwise, I'll send out my legion of chibi's after you! So there!
Diamond's Lament
This haze...
Grey and heavy like
We wool sweaters
After rolling
In the snow drifts
Of Crystal Tokyo
Only twice as
Thick and
Twice as cold.
It blankets my weary eyes,
Promising
A painless oblivion,
Free of betrayal
And my
Crimson blood.
She leans over me,
Blonde pigtails and meatballs
Inches
From my pale
Cheek-bones;
So close to angelic
Carresses of
Her gilded tresses.
She holds
Me
In her dainty arms,
Tears coating
Fathoms of cerlean.
So beautiful;
How can she even
Pity me
Let alone care?
Oh, Sailor Moon...
Forgive me...
