Small little one-shot between Remus and Tonks.. Hope you like :)

Remus walked into the ministry, almost singing to himself. Today was the day; the day that the ministry was finally letting him become an Auror! He'd done years and years of training, 10 to be exact. It had been 10 years since James and Lily were killed, and 10 years since Remus had burst into the Ministry and demanded that he undergo Auror training. Remus waltzed to the lift and made his way to the Auror department. He spoke to a few people, all of whom gave him weird looks. Not that Remus minded of course, he was an Auror today! He walked into the training room to find most of his would-be Auror friends standing in a line, and Kingsley Shaklebolt talking to a bunch of younger looking witches and wizards. Remus got into line and whispered "what's going on?" He, without looking at Remus, said, "I don't know. Some type of final test, I imagine" Remus gulped, he hated tests. He stood in line quietly until everyone else arrived. Remus couldn't help but notice one of the younger witches. She had hair of quite a vibrant colour, so she stood out quite a bit, but that wasn't why he noticed her. He thought she was absolutely gorgeous. Not they he'd tell her that, ever, of course. One, he wasn't much for dating without getting to know people first, and two, he was a werewolf. He'd given up on the idea of fitting in with people when James and Lily and Peter died, and Sirius went to Azkaban. No one else would accept him. Remus was snapped out of his daydream when Kingsley started talking, "okay, one final test, to assure that you all indeed deserve a spot as Auror, you will be coaching these new Auror-hopefulls for the day." Remus' heart dropped. He wasn't good, at all, with people. How was he going to coach one for the day?! Kingsley turned to new recruits. "Okay, there's an Auror for each of you, go and pick one and have fun!" All the younger witches and wizards went to pick an Auror, and Remus just stared at his feet. He'd get the last one there because they were too slow to choose someone else. Suddenly a voice from right in front of him said. "Remus. John. Lupin." He looked up quickly and was startled to see the witch with the bright hair smiling brightly at him. He decided that her smile was amazing. "You haven't changed one bit!" The witch giggled, stepped forward, and flung her arms around Remus' neck. He stepped back a little from surprise, then instinctively wrapped his arms around the girls slim waist. He hadn't hugged anyone since the day before Lily and James died, and it felt nice. The girl stepped back and beamed at Remus. He felt slightly awkward. "Erm, I'm sorry .. did we go to school together?" He asked in a small voice. The girl laughed, "Oh really Remus! I haven't changed that much, have I?!" Then she giggled, as if she'd made a joke, "then again, I change all the time, don't I?" She laughed again and looked at Remus, as if that explained it all. Remus shook his head, "umm, I'm sorry." He said. The girl laughed again and said, "Here, lets see if this helps." For a moment she screwed up her face, as if concentrating hard. Then, tears started pouring out of her eyes, and she grew smaller, her hair changed from a vibrant pink to a flat black, and she looked generally younger. She said in a whiny, teary voice, "But Remus .. they were making fun of me. They were calling me names because of my pink hair. Is there something wrong with my pink hair?" Remus gasped, then smiled. He definitely knew this girl. Playing along, he said. "No, Dora darling there's nothing wrong with your hair. I think its beautiful" The witch giggled and morphed back into her taller, older, brighter self. Remus brought her into a hug again. "Hello Nymahadora." He said.
