Kilik's Birthday Surprise
Kilik Rung's morning started with a high pitched being noise that lulled him out of a peaceful sleep. He put his hands over his ears, but this did little to block out the sound. Kilik hit the top of his alarm clock, but the noise did not stop. Kilik lifted his head off of his pillow, and immediately sprung awake when he saw black smoke coming from the halls.
When he got out of bed, Kilik ran out of the room, and saw no fire. However, he looked to his heft, and saw that the smoke was coming from the kitchen. He sighed, and started rubbing his temples in annoyance.
"God dammit," Kilik mumbled, knowing that his weapons, Thunder and Fire, were responsible for the smoke. When he went into the kitchen, he saw Thunder and Fire standing on the breakfast table, with various pots and pans strewn about, various stains on the cupboards and other kitchen appliances from food mixes, and powder all over the floor.
"Thunder! Fire! How many times have I told you guys to tell me when you…" Kilik began to shout before he got close enough to the table to see what was behind Thunder and Fire. It was a multi layered vanilla cake with various chocolate candies covering it. On top of it, 'Happy Birthday Kilik' was written sloppily in red cake frosting.
"You…guys made this for me?" Kilik asked, completely shocked at this gift from his kid friends and weapons. They both nodded with Thunder producing a little calendar, with the date 'March 6' circled numerous times in multiple different crayons. Kilik smiled warmly at the two and wrapped them both in a hug.
"Awwww…thanks you guys. This was really nice of you," Kilik said. 'Especially since I've been so busy with school that I completely forgot that my birthday was today,' Kilik thought to himself while Thunder was nuzzling her head in Kilik's shoulder and Fire was laying his head on Kilik's arm.
Their moment was cut off by a drop of cake mix landing on Kilik's nose. He looked up, and saw stains of cake mix all over the ceiling.
"You two do know that you're cleaning all this up, right?" Kilik stated, looking down at Thunder and Fire. The twins looked at each other, then back at Kilik before nodding. Kilik got up and ruffled their hair.
"After you guys are done cleaning up, maybe we can go out and celebrate. I heard about this new restaurant that opened up near our house, and since I don't have school today, I can afford to take a break. What do you guys think?" Kilik asked. The twins responded with quick nods, before they went to get a mop and some paper towels. While they were starting to clean, Kilik, took a bite out of the cake.
"Really good for a first try, you guys. We can have this later tonight too after we get back. Oh, and thanks again for this. I really appreciate this," Kilik said with a warm smile before he left the kitchen to go back to his own room and study. The twins responded with smiles of their own and gave each other a thumbs up before getting back to work.
