Disclaimer: I don't own Final Fantasy 7, square does.

Warning: Cloud attempts suicide and its pretty tear-jerking. Or at least I think so.

Snow

It always reminded Cloud of the girl he once loved.

Aeris

It was the wildest contradiction he had ever heard. The fleeting feeling of joy he always felt at the mention of her name was quickly consumed by the grief, pain, and sadness of knowing he would never see her again.

That's why he was here. Everything reminded him of her, of Aeris. As he sat on a lone cliff in the Gaea Mountains, he reflected on his time with her. The entire time he had known her it they had been running. Whether it was running from the Turks, away from her home, running rescue her, running to find the temple, running to save her from Sephiroth.

Sephiroth, another contradictory relationship. He remembered when he was in Soldier, supposedly. He looked up to the general like he was a god. Funny, Sephiroth wanted to be a god when he was already worshipped by all of Soldier.

But he had lost that last race. He got there too late. Not only was he too late, he had almost killed her himself. He felt if he could be controlled into almost do the last thing he would EVER want to do, then he was endangering his friends. He felt his mind was too weak.

Too weak to live.

As the cold chipped away at the last of his consciousness, he had one thought on his mind.

Why Aeris? Why.

WAAAAHHHHH!!!! Oki doki, I have a question to ask all of you. I have more that I could write to this because it is so short. Should I write more or just leave it as a one-shot?

Keep writing! ~*!Lady Geagua!*~
