He is known as an evil soul who takes control of Ryou Bakura's body and does things that Bakura would never do.
But why?
Why does he want the Millennium Items?
What good would it do?
Is he after something else?
Could it be something to do with freedom?
Being trapped within the Ring for three thousand years only to be stuck sharing a body with a teenager is a life of enslavement.
Even though he uses Bakura,
He's not free.
He cares about Bakura in a strange and rarely heard of way.
He keeps him in his shadow,
But would not want anything bad to happen to him.
Is that possibly why he uses Bakura so much, even when he's not trying to get the Items?
Perhaps.
Or maybe he just wants to feel the odd freedom he has.
Locked in a Ring must get lonely,
But he doesn't care.
At least, he doesn't seem to care.
Perhaps he does.
Perhaps he doesn't.
Who knows.
He is as big as a mystery as Ryou Bakura.
He helps whoever he needs to in order to get what he wants.
What he searches for and what he hopes to gain from his aliases is unclear if you take a better look.
Does he expect power?
Or a step closer to freedom?
Or both?
Who knows.
Who knows anything about him.
Can anything be for sure?
Why he does what he does is unclear when you take a closer look and think about it.
He might just have lost his mind and is doing it all because he wants something to do.
Maybe.
Maybe not.
Nothing can be sure.
Is he really as evil as others claim that he is?
In fact, who is this spirit within the Ring?
We may never be able to find out.
